Pristine water, Verdant hills, Shining, bright day.. what more could you ask for! A day we'll spent. The place has a car parking from where you have to walk down a little distance to reach the waterfall. The place has a clean changing room and a small restaurant as well.
This place just awesome. You can feel the nature vibe. Drive your car or bike to front of waterfall then park it and by some distance of walking you see the beauty of nature. Enjoy that moment and make a memorable memory.
Located alongside National Highway 109, connecting Almora with Nainital, the Dhokane Waterfall becomes a mandatory pit stop for anyone that knows about the spot and is travelling along the highway. For others, it is simply an unexplored treasure. If you find yourself among the second group, you must visit this gem of a waterfall hidden among the pines of Dhokaney Village. The water creates a perfectly temperate pool at the bottom of falls, offering a perfect opportunity for a dip on a hot sunny afternoon. If you really are visiting during afternoon time, you may find yourself to be the only tourist present at the spot. Talk about finding an unexplored hidden gem! Things To Do: Take a dip in the water Visit the famous Kaichi Dham Temple situated near the waterfall Shop for local jams and pickles from the neighbouring village of Ninglat Distance from Nainital: 48 km Timings: 8:30 AM to 5 PM * You need to do a 500-600m downhill trek to get to this waterfall. Make sure you wear good quality shoes to avoid any injuries.
One of my favourite place in summer time. Himalaya spring water i.e. cold and clean. It's in between Almora-Nainital road. They have beautiful tent accomodation for very reasonable price. Also there is local canteen that can cook anything you want them to, just tell them before sunset if you staying there for the night. Best time to go is April- June.. when you can swim and relax in natural water pool and stay in tent in night. In the morning you would wake up to the view of waterfall from your tent, sound of birds chirping and water fall.. amazing place. I highly recommend to everyone visiting Uttarakhand.
Excellent place near the Bhowali Almora highway....but be careful about parking as road is narrow.
Nice waterfall particularly in rainy season. Accessible only through walkway.
If anyone around this place must visit this waterfall. Best place to beat the heat and to swim in nature.
A good offbeat waterfall, only 2.5km detour from Haldwani-Almora route. Note- do park your vehicle on the main route, road is broken, twisted and has high down-up angle.
