Dhauli Hills in Odisha - Tourist attraction in Uttara, Dhauli - Puri, India

Dhauli Shanti Stupa and Hill is one of the highlight of Puri Tourists destinations. It is a very famous Buddhist Pagoda. The Location is on a top of a hill. Please don't take Auto, it's a Rip off. The place is very quite and zen. Please visit the top and see the beautiful marvel pagoda. Recommend to visit

Dhauli Hill is related to the great emperor Ashoka. It is mostly famous for Dhauli Shanti Stupa, a peace pagoda (Religious place for Buddhists) and the Kalinga Battle Ground beside the Daya river. It is nearly 8 kilometers away from Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha. Due to it's historical importance many tourists visit this place everyday. There is a Light and Sound show, which you can see in evening

Striking white peace pagoda & Buddhist shrine constructed atop Dhauli Hill in 1972. The Peace Pagoda built by the Kalinga Nippon Budha Sangha in 1973 and known as Shanti Stupa commemorates the change of heart of Emperor. Ashoka had a special weakness for Dhauli, where the battle was fought. It's very beautiful and peaceful here. At the entrance you can also find the scriptures by Asoka on the rocks. This place is easily accessible by cab/auto. The view of the city from the hilltop is amazing

This one is one of my favourite place since i started living in Bhubaneswar.... great place... peaceful...You can do some shopping from local...you can also enjoy the light show there in evening..

Peaceful place you should visit here once for experiencing the beauty and peace. There's also a shiv temple in front the view from stupa is amazing.
