Very big lake in Solapur named after Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, locally known as Kambar Talav. Long ago the water used to be very clean but now due to draining of sewage waste into the lake it is now the most impure & polluted lake in Solapur. However under Smart City project, a lake dredger has been installed to clean the bed of the lake. Local people wash their clothes, bath, wash the livestock, wash the launderettes, etc. Many beautiful species of birds can be spotted here as a forest garden is located beside. There used to be also a Garden & children's park which is closed now.

It is earlier known as Kambar Talav. But it is now known by the name Dharamveer Sambhaji Talav. Types of fishes are in water. Many times a water plants grow on this pond, which covers the entire pond. Now blue water is visible, but still it gets dirty very often. Railway also goes from the side.

Dharmveer sambhaji lake, is oldest and most visited mini picnic spot in the town. It located on the Solapur to vijaypur highway. It has cold and silent place Avenue of Greenery , which helps to calm and energetic. It has big and clean lake where people used to boating.

But actually this place contain gyroplanes like valisneria or zoostera like water plants hence this makes lakes dirty . Need to develop and purification of water is main thing to pure or clean the water is main to attract this lake . This place is very attractive lake but actually smc not taken any plan to clean this . Now days started smc to clean the lake is started and remove water having from lake is started some days after it looks like attractive place for solapur people and other's. Tha nk u

The lake is actually beautiful but the people of Smart solapur city who are not at all smart make it dirty. The street hawkers who sell fruits throw all the dirt in the lake. People throw garbage in the lake which makes it more dirty.
