Dharani Restaurant - Vegetarian restaurant in Visakhapatnam - Visakhapatanam, India

Since childhood when we were in Visakhapatnam, it was one of our frequently visited restaurants. As we went to Visakhapatnam to attend a family function for one day from hyderabad, we just don't want to miss visiting this restaurant. While heading to the airport, we went there just to have filter coffee, which is just WoW. The taste n aroma is just simply flavourful. The restaurant needs an upgradation as it looks a little bit old and gloomy. The service is fast as before, and the staff are cordial. But the hygiene n neatness of the table cleaning n all needs some immediate attention. We even want to pack their famous rasmalai in their sweet counter, honey dew. But, they advised packing to have a spillage for the long distance. So I couldn't take that, but the taste is just mouth watering n very yummy.

Love Daspalla! Reputation and quality has been consistent for the last 15+ years. Had a fulfilling vegetarian thali for lunch. Very filling and exquisite taste. A bit spicy for those who care for a milder taste. However, for indian food and for the local folk it's perfect. Great food choices, poori, kaju korma, desserts, samovar etc. Service was great!

Dear Daspalla Hotel Management, I am writing this feedback to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with my experience at your Dharani restaurant in Visakhapatnam on 17/03/2023. I visited your restaurant for lunch, expecting to relish the famous Andhra meals served by your restaurant. However, the reality was entirely different, leaving me only disappointed and frustrated. The quality of food served was terrible, and there was no minimal hygiene maintained. The rice served to us was cold and seemed to be reheated old rice, making it non-palatable. The taste of the food was below average, leaving a terrible aftertaste. The restaurant staff seemed disinterested and was not paying attention to our complaints. The stained tables, leftover food stuck to the menu, and the hard, cold rice grains were not expected from a reputed restaurant like yours. Daspalla used to be the heritage restaurant for Andhra meals in Visakhapatnam, and I always looked forward to visiting your restaurant. However, after this pathetic experience, Daspalla has lost its charm and position for serving value-based happy meals to the target population, such as us, who are typically Telugu and Andhra persons. Despite having such a low and miserable experience, we still left a tip to the restaurant staff, reflecting our loyalty as a customer towards the emotion of dining at Daspalla. However, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I am highly disappointed with your restaurant's service and food quality. The worst thing is the same waiter picks up the half-eaten/leftover dishes, and the same person serves food without hand washing. Am I expected to pay 300rs per meal for this kind of service? It's like Buying food with germs and microorganisms. I am enclosing the photos of the pathetic cold, hard rice grains, which are non-palatable, and the stained tables and leftover food stuck to the menu to give you a clear picture of the situation. I hope you take the necessary steps to fix the issues and ensure your customers have a pleasant experience at your restaurant. - A customer who didn't get any value-added service

Just went into the restaurant for lunch after seeing the positive reviews I am from Cochin on a tour to Vizag ; hence relied on social media media to locate good restaurants I ordered a thali for myself and poori with some curry for my wife The pooris and vegetables came in quick ; while I waited for my thali. It never came So we cancelled the order; paid my wife's bill and came out No expression of regret from the waiter or the Floor Manager So now I have to go the AirPort on an empty stomach So much for Vizags hospitality

An exclusive vegetarian restaurant in hotel daspalla.Great food as always and prompt service.The interiors and dining experience are old school but food is always upto the mark.The prices are reasonable too.Also has a play area for kids right outside the restaurant entrance.I felt that the washrooms adjacent to the restaurant can be upgraded as they were very poorly maintained and sort of ruined the experience of dining here. This place has a great bonding loads of memories. Evert time I dine-in, a quick rewind goes and leaves a smile..! As a kid it was Daspalla Executive Food Court, Vizag I was crazy about & use to wait eagerly for my Dad to drives us all the way 20kms on his Chetak every alternate weekend.. The fish tank below the stairs.. The comic book stall beside the lobby.. One of the waiter who use to serve me little food on thali plate just for me with no charge (it was when I am small and never use to eat a lot but still wanted my food to be served in a Thali plate).. My first lift experience.. playing with fellow kids and lot more .. I frequently visit this place and there breakfast items especially poori, pongal, ravva dosa & thali are amazing .Not to forget there coffee which is absolute bliss for coffee lovers. #nostalgic #annadathasukhibhava #ClickEatXploreYo

We went with family and had decent food. Items are okay. But the service was the worst.. They are not ready to serve onion as a compliment for a people of 8 they just gave 3 pieces of onion. When I asked they replied to order onion salad which costs 180/- rupees. Our bill amount was 4000+ . So I decided not to visit this restaurant again.

Best veg restaurant in Visakhapatnam and butter naan with paneer butter masala just tastes heaven here must try in here. Daspalla has been serving since many years and retains one of the the best vegetarian restaurants in visakhapatnam. Be it meals or tiffins or rotis /naans with curry it has served the best.
