Dhanwantari Kali Mandir - Hindu temple in Jaynagar, Jaynagar Mazilpur - 24 Paraganas South, India

I guess it is one of the ancient Kalibari in South 24 paraganas. I very much took interest in the architectural aspects of the temple. If you like old architecture you'll find it nice. The place is serene, the nature of "gram Bangla" will feel so soothing on town people, the behavior of the people are polite . There is a pond and pay and use washroom. This temple of Maa Kali named Dhanwantari is one of the most popular heritage in joynagar. Every Tuesday and Saturday there are arranged Kalipuja ceremoniously with the enchanting sound of dram,bell,etc and the sights of glowing candles by people gathered together while praying to God. One time in every year near almost March, a festival is organised by people named "Besher Mela". It is very attractive festival to be seen the changing of dresses of Maa Kali for 15 days that's a fortnight.The festival is so popular that every nights of those 15 days is too crowded to take an entry hardly at evening. Welcome to this peacefull temple and the historical festival.

Its a nice kali temple .Along with Lod Kali , there are Mahadev and Shani Lod. It is a very beautiful temple with a large field next to it.

Dhanwantari Kali Temple is a very popular place to worship the Goddess Maa Kali. Everybody says that it is 'Jagrata'. Everyday at the time of evening 'sondhyaroti' is given. It's a great moment to be there with our family and be the part of it. Tuesday and Saturday is especially treated for giving 'Puja'. Every year at the time (bengali month) of 'Baishakh' a big fair (Mela) starts there, called 'Besher Mela'. The Mela continues for 15 days officially, and there after few more days. The nearest railway station is Jaynagar Mazilpur station. From there Auto, Toto, Van is available to go to the temple. I'm sure the place will make you happy.

This is one of the most serene place in Jaynagar. Goddess Kali is worshipped here. A fair named Besher Mela is organised every year in the month of Baisakh by the temple committee.

A must-see Kali temple. Grand fair time every year for 15 days upto Buddha Purnima. Everyday Ma changes her ROOP during that period. Temple remains open everyday morning and evening. During this period it remains closed from 4 pm to 7 pm for change.
