Dhanei Dam - River port in Bhabarada - Ganjam, India

Dhanei dam is a small dam mainly built for irrigation purpose. We had visited the place in the month of August. Water level at Reservoir was low. Surrounding villagers were engaged in fishing in the reservoir when we visited. Best time to visit this place is in the evening.

It's natural beauty is awesome. But there is no improvement. No facilities available. Only visit, click pictures, enjoy the nature. There is no restrictions to the dam sensitive areas. Government should take care of it. Otherwise it could be dangerous.

Majestic Place!!! Amazing place to tour! There are a big forest where you can go for a picnic & At that dam place surrounded by water & forest. There a way go for temple which is a place that is look like hill.

This is Dhanei Dam is also so called as RANDI GHAI by the local peoples. Beautiful dam especially constructed for the Medium irrigation system. This is also a medium irrigation dam of water resources dept. of govt. of Odisha. It is situated 10 km from Buguda on north. This is also a good place for picnic, surrounded by natural scenery, forest. There is also an Inspection Bungalow of irrigation dept. to stay. The Odisha tourism department also made some good works for its development, Its perfectly suits for day Outing.
