Extremely bad biryani. Had matka mutton dum Biryani. all the fanciness was good but wasTotally tasteless. Extreme waste of money and time. Can't give 0 stars so given 1.

They took almost an hour to serve. It looked delicious. Nice presentation. But.... Failed to deliver the taste. In the first bite I understood chicken and rice was cooked separately and just served as biryani. They might have been out of biryani as guys before us liked it. Even in that case the owner should have been honest and asked us so. The quality of ingredients was good. I don't know if I ever think of DBC again when I crave for biryani. Had a lot of expectations when I saw photos online. Maybe it's because of 2020. I forgot to write about the burger that my friend ordered. There was no twist to it still it cost 80 rupees. A slice of panner with cheese and lettuce was served with two buns. As I said "panner" it meant only panner. Don't expect panner fried or stuffed of something fancy. I don't think other than biryani (which was terrible) they have anything better to offer.
It was a great experience over there. The taste of briyani and the flavor that comes due to matka was so traditional. If you are Dhanbadian and looking for good tasty biriyani then you must have to try. And one more point i like to mention is, the behavior of owner was so impressive.
I ordered from zomato. Online price is almost 1.2 times than regular price. Packaging was good but taste was not up to the mark. I ordered #Matka Kolkata chicken dum biryani, which is no where taste like Kolkata Biryani. Chilli chicken was ok, chicken lollipops also not cooked very well. At last when I check price from the template which provided by them while delivery, I got big surprise. For example Chicken lollipop price mentioned in Pamplate is 199 but I got charged 279. I don't think it's normal.
A new way of serving Biryani, in times of covid, it is a safe way to eat as it is not handled by hand once it's in the matka. Taste is amazing and good variety. Would love to see more varieties. Tried the chicken paratha as well, the taste and portion was amazing, a must try.
