Lovely place located on the banks of river Mahanadi. Especially for nature lovers, meaningful destination for birdwatchers, small jungle patch has good variety of wildlife like leopard, cheetal, wild boar, peafowl, indian hare, jackal, hynea and sometimes Wild Elephants also vist this part of forest. Nice place to do day outing with family and friends, overnight stay can be possible at forest department's rest house facing the river. Prior permission is required with DFO Balodabazar. Also meaningful destination for nature photography with corridor habitat of Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary opposite to river bank. Don't miss winter visit especially overnight stay recommended to this less explored place. Although day traffic will be there because of local tourists.
