The temple is situated in the sea banks of Devipattinam town . You can reach out his place through car from Ramanathapuram or Rameshwaram , you can combine a day trip to Uthirakosamangai and Thirupullani which are around the same district . If you want to take a public transport as a mode of transport , you can take buses from Ramanathapuram, Rameshwaram or even Madurai to reach Devipattinam bus station . There are several buses available in this route . It is 15 kms from Ramanathapuram and would be a 30 mins ride in bus . The temple is 500 mts walk from the bus stand , auto also would be available . Earlier you would be able to visit the temple only during the early morning times , as this temple is few mts away from the shore and in the morning time the water level would have got reduced wth which one can walk and perform Pooja . Even now if you want to do Pooja and other things it is recommended to visit there early morning by 5 - 6 AM . For normal visit it is fine to go anytime in the day now , as they have built a bridge to reach the Navagraha and pathway to go around rounds of the Navagraha . During other times of the day apart from morning , it is possible that all the Navagraha s are not visible , as the water level could have covered it . The Navagraha was worshipped by Lord Rama and is a sacred place . Many pilgrims coming to Rameshwaram try to visit this temple as well . There is a shop which sells snacks , tea and coffee outside the temple .
