It's a calm place. The actual name of the temple is GUTKESHWAR MAHADEV MANDIR. In the rainy season, we saw the GOMUKH upon the SHIVLING, where water falls on the SHIVLING naturally. Here is one more temple which is known as GUPTESHWAR MAHADEV MANDIR, which is located in a cave near GUTKESHWAR MAHADEV MANDIR. Before 4-5 days of MAHASHIVRATRI, the local majority conducts huge SAWAN MELA which is very popular in MADHYA PRADESH.
The place is serene.. Heritage Mahadev Temple has historic relation.. there is Gomukh that flows rain water on Shivlinga from mountain behind.. there is a cave temple nearby which is also calming.. during Sawan there are swings installed on Tamarind tree.. overall a must visit place which is very close to Indore
Devguradia Shiva Mandir is situated in the village of Devguradia, which is 8 km from Indore on the Nemawar road. The temple is a monolithic rock temple, which was built in the 7th century. Ahilya Bai Holkar ordered the reconstruction of this temple in the 18th century. Popularly known as Garuda Tirth, this temple has a water outlet in the shape of Gomukh. The water falls directly on the Shiva Lingam enshrined at this temple. Original Shiva Lingam stood at a height of 12 ft, which is now underwater in the sunken temple. The present temple is constructed on the original sunken temple. On every Shivratri, a fair is held at this temple to honor of Lord Shiva.
