This is a major to-do inside the Golden fort. Please do NOT take a guide, they would mostly rush you through. There is an audio tour available which is closed due to COVID-19. All the attractions are labeled with arrows showing clear direction. The steps may be steep, but the rooftop provides an absolutely breathtaking view. It takes around 75 to 90 mins to complete all the rooms.
Rani ka mahal inside the Jaisalmer fort is a majestic structure with intricate carving on yellow marble. The jarokas are masterpiece and legendary in stone work. Probably, at some point in time it will be open to public.
I was very excited to come back to the Jaisalmer Rani Ka Mahal after my 1st visit long ago, in 2010. It is a beautiful palace with gorgeous courtyards and fantastic city views. Also, it's great that, post-Covid, they resumed their well-curated, inspiring Audioguide service (inc. w foreign tourist ticket). The main drawback is that, as of Dec-22, ~30% of the galleries and objects were closed/removed for 'conservation', hopefully they will reopen them soon. One final tip- go early morning to avoid the tourist group crowds. It can get suffocating to navigate thru the narrow corridors.
Nothing much is there if you have been to other palaces such Umed Palace etc. I found the palace to be very humble. Ticket price is 200 per person

Just meh.. Too expensive for what it is. 600Rs for foreigners with audioguide. At least 1/3 of the rooms are closed or unavailable. Dusty and unorganized. You can't even listen to the audioguide when guides are shouting near you.

Raja ka mahal is a very beautiful part of the cort and lots of royal artifacts can be found here include the throne, robes.etc. this part is in the centre of the fort and audio guide facility can be availed here in multiple languages ranging from hindi, english, french, german, etc. The beautiful carvings and meticulous artwork on the exterior is beautiful.
