I had gone their on a school excursion and the experience was something very new and magical for me. I felt that I had seen Rajasthani culture in real life. Overall the best places to visit for the ambience.

Visited yesterday. I would say just one thing ..all the negative reviews given here, are right and these people have to work a lot on improvement. Many of the photos shown here are fake and the activities of the assured package weren't covered.

My partner and I stayed here in March 2023 and did the Jeep Safari. I'd recommend generally doing your research when it comes to staying in the Thar dessert (don't book quickly like my partner did). This camp (and most camps we drove past) actually seem to be set up on flat ground rather than in the dunes, and they drive you out to the dunes for the jeep safari and activities. Our experience was this was highly commercialised/geared towards tourists, rather than an authentic camping in the dessert/sand dunes experience. The cottage (concrete structure) was basic... Pictures on the website perhaps reflect when everything was brand new. The sheets/pillows/towels were not good quality and some were discoloured (may have been dirty but we'll give them the benefit of the doubt....in any case, I used my own towel and slept in a sleeping bag liner to be safe). As the camp is set up on flat ground, you won't be able to casually step out of your tent/cottage and sleep under the stars on the sand dunes (if this is something that you want to do it is worth checking that it's possible given many camps weren't set up on the sand/dunes!). Make sure you have small change on you, as you'll be expected to tip while out on the jeep safari (from the man serving chai to the girl and musician who don't ask whether you'd like them to perform for you for 2 minutes but expect payment). Overall, it was an experience, but not quite what we were hoping for and we probably could've done without it, or it could have been just a day trip. There's definitely room for improvement here

Best for a night to stay recently went for camp from the school and the experience was awesome food quality their service were just marvelous

I was very excited to visit this camp.But surprizingly rooms are very dirty. Stinky rooms. Water is also smelly. Pathetic food . horrible experience. Will never visit this place.

We booked 2 ac cottages. Last day they changed it to royal desert camp. We hired innova car . Ac was not working. Next day we hired bolero The car was in bad condition

The camp owners are cheat. I stayed in the camp with family. It was given in writing by the Booking Person that seperate BED will be provided for the third person but they provided only the mattress. When I said that it is against your commitment, the staff started to misbehave. Even the electricity was not available at the time of check in. Supply started at 4.30 pm. When I asked that why the electricity supply is not available, the person said that it will be started when most of the guests arrive in the camp. Even the cultural program promised by camp was only a formality. With due respect for the artist, I would like to mention that the dancers who were performing there were not able to do dance. They were repeating three or four steps regularly. It was scheduled for 2 and half hours but finished in one hour only. The quality of food and evening refreshments was very poor. Even drinking water was not bottled. A simple dispenser was placed for drinking the water. AC cottages are concrete structure not tents. You won't feel living in tent accommodation. It was really a horrible experience. If you really want to ruin your experience and trip, then you MUST book here.
