As we visited during Feb, the greenery and waterfalls were not at their best. However, the town of Madikeri in itself is a nice place to stay. Mandalpatti and Talakaveri are must visit. Mandalpatti has Shola forests which is found only in this part of India. One must visit Coorg just to see the breathtaking views of Mandalpatti. We hope to visit again during August-September as they say Coorg is Scotland of India during those months.
Very bad experience at Mandalpatti , compulsory to hire a jeep and the jeep mafia charges an exorbitant price and try to push for private ride even if it's only a couple. Abusive and rowdy behaviour by the jeep drivers. Ended up not going on the ride. Disappointed.
As a tourist, department of tourism helped me with good information and polite staffs also thanks to Jathin Bopanna for good assistant and good kodagu Brouchers more informative....
They guide you well regarding documents , officers in charge ,were very helpful when it came to getting my registration process started . Compared to most government office , tourism department is doing very good job when it comes to guiding you to get your paper work done .

We stayed for two nights the Rooms and Service was Good. And the Staff MR. Ravi Was so helpful and always available. What ever the request we gave was fulfilled by him even the small item like note book and pencils was provided by him he never refuse
