Deomali, is a mountain peak, It is located near Koraput town in the Koraput district of Odisha. The place is very beautiful I think it is the best place in Odisha from where to enjoy all the natural beauty. But one thing that I think is that there is a strong wind, so please bring some scarf to wrap your head. And take special care of the children. There are many places for car parking where you can park your car very well and also brunt Cron and tea are available here as snacks items. All in all, I like the place. If you want to enjoy this place more, don't forget to climb the watch tower and I have given some pictures and videos for your convenience.
Welcome note begins with clouds passages as we reach the upper terrain of Deomali hill. Hardly any trees along the ridge of this mountain, 20-30min easy trek uphill to reach the peak from a point where vehicles meet the cement road end. When travelling from Vizag to Deomali, do not go with google maps shortest route, the ghat road can be daunting and risky for inexperienced, instead continue on highway that bypass Salur completely,. At Kunduli take diversion to right for Deomali. Rs300/- per Car irrespective of number of people within car No regular facilities like hotels, restaurants, toilets,. A small shop that sell snacks, noddles, water closes after 5 or 6pm Night stay permitted but with your own arrangements. Would recommend a visit for this serene experience. Mobile network available at summit and near, not along the lower trek/hiking path, Airtel good, Jio bad for this space. Crowded on weekends Please restrict plastic usage and do not dispose off on hill. For authorities, if they care : In Andaman, for certain islands who ever carry plastic they have to deposit advance amount as a guarantee of return and claim refunded with proof of return. Such methods may improve conditions here.

Highest point in Odisha Deomali Peak, with an elevation of about 1,672 m, is the highest peak in the state of Odisha. It is situated near Doodhari village, Pottangi Panchayat division which is about 70 km from Koraput via Semiliguda. It is surrounded by deep green forest, the peak is rich in flora and fauna. It is not only a marvel for the tourists but also to the adventurous sports lovers for hang gliding, mountaineering and trekking. On this recent days Odisha tourism Department, is taking many development steps to popularize this peak amongst the travellers as a hot tourist spot by connecting the Tar roads, Hill top amenities centre, drinking water points on the hill top, watching towers for perfect view of the arena. Many waterfalls also found while heading for the top of hill.
It's in Odisha and must be retained in Odisha as heard from locals that AP is slowly capturing the location !! Here the nature is awesome all season!! But illiterate tourists litter things and make the spot ugly. Govt should take proper care and start charging for littering.
The place is like heaven. I have gone to this place on the monsoon. I have gone on the end time of June. The cloud are covering the whole valley & the hills. This valley is lke more plain. If a person try to trekking, then that's very easy for trekking. I recommend that please wear a jacket & hoodie, also take tea or snacks to prevent cold. You'll see a heavenly views of nature from the top of the hill.
