Delwara Temple - Featured Reviews (4143)
The earliest were built by Bhima I and supposedly designed or at least financed by Vastupala, Jain minister of Dholka. Temple timings are 11 to 5, no short dress allowed, only full clothes are allowed The temple is very beautifully built..carved in marble stone..no phone and camera allowed
The architecture, the detailing on the walls, pillars, was like out of this world, it was so amazing, I couldn't believe it. So much minute , beautiful details, showing sheer hard work of the workers around 1000 years ago. I highly respect that. And that too, it's maintained in well form even today. At first, before visiting this place, I thought of it as just another Jain temple, like we have in Ranakpur (that's also very good) but this one was mind blowing. I was in awe! Really great
Wonderful archaeological monument and heritage place in Rajasthan. Enhousing the famous Jain temple. The structure remained after loot by invaders still reflect the past glory of Rajasthan. But the maintenance is in great need of much more attention and expense. The Kalptaru tree is drying and dying , the Parijat disappears from campus due to ignorance.
A Very best work of art on Marble. This place another name is Jain Temple because here History Connect to Jain. There wall & piller on design it's a mind blowing. Mobile phone prohibited in this temple. This place is 4km away to nakki Lake. Here one Jain Bhojnalaya there Rs.120/- in Jain Food.
Too overrated, most of the old structure is not visible as it has gone a lot of restoration work. The temple is guarded by Sikhs security guards who wear shoes inside the temple premise while this is prohibited for outsides, sheer double standards. No proper place to keep bags while the phone is kept for 50 rupees. Better go directly to Guru Shikhar. Differential treatment for Jains and others.
Awesome Mersmising stone work on white marble Stone carving work at ancient times Jain religion temple Associated small temples with garbh grah All jain teerathkar (jain spiritual teachers ) are represented in these temples and leads to great gurus Parshwanath to mahaveer swami all together
Wonderful and Fine old Architecture is shown with beautiful art with marble all over the temple. Photography prohibited. No food and drinks allowed. Tight Security. Only Jain people can go near the god statue (Temple entry is for all). No ticket.
