Giving 1 star only for the location. Rest there is nothing to be happy about. The service is poor. The room allotted was very small and they had the audacity to call it a Deluxe room. There was very little space to move inside the room. If you have more than 1 luggage, you will suffer to keep it properly. The only wardrobe in the room is dirty and in dilapidated condition. The bathroom was not clean and damp. the bath place was way too small for a Deluxe room. There was literally no mountain view directly from the room. You have to poke your head out of only one window the room has to see any view of the mountain. I paid for Deluxe mountain view room and the room given to me was A5 which is a below average room. the rooms were on 6th floor, so if you have a strong body and heart, then only take a try, as the staffs will not assist you to load or unload your luggage from and to the ground floor. Food is also average, with no proper restaurant. Charges are too high compared to the room condition and/or services offered. I would never suggest any of my acquaintances to ever visit this hotel.

An Unforgettable Stay at The Dekeling Hotel: Exceptional Service, Perfect Location, and a Home Away from Home! Its prime location near Mall Road, just a quick 5-minute walk away, made exploring the area a breeze. The staff, would love to mention Vikram, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant, always cooperative and helpful. Despite the stairs, which may pose a challenge for some, the overall experience was exceptional. The rooms and toilets were clean with a constant supply of hot and cold water. To top it off, we even received a free upgrade! I genuinely felt safe and welcomed there. The Dekeling truly felt like a home away from home. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hotel. Kudos to the team for their outstanding work!

Perfectly located to see the icy peaks from your windows of mountain view rooms if weather allows. It's so close to the Mall and market area that you can always go there. Staff are nice, polite but unprofessional. Common areas are nice but I found mountain view rooms where we stayed clean but shabby, quite shabby, bathrooms were clean, hot water available 24 hours. Range of food is very limited and cooking is ridiculously absurd. Not unhealthy though, but they know nothing about cooking and serving. I find mountain view rooms overpriced.

View rooms are worthy of cost as you can see Kanchanjangha from your bed. But climbing up to this hotel is a project. Minimum 90 stairs to climb every time you climb down. No lift. They help you carrying all luggages to your rooms. The rooms are overpriced. Not a very good food menu. Issue with not water and water shortage issue. The employees of this hotel are very courteous.

We stayed in this hotel between 29th June and 3rd July, 2023. We had asked for the Attic room (A4) and were allotted the same at check-in. This is the only room with view on two sides. Floor, walls and ceiling were beautifully done with finished wood. Bed was king size but with two separate mattresses that made the person sleeping in the middle very uncomfortable. Washroom was a bit small but very clean with running hot water. The room was cleaned and bed line, towels changed, everyday during our stay. The best part of the room were the windows on North and West overlooking the entire town. On a clear day, you will get a fabulous view of hills and Mt. Kanchedzonga. The only problem is climbing the narrow stairs upto 5 floors to reach this hotel/room.

I visited the hotel very recently and I felt excellent. All the rooms were very neat and organized. The owner lady is amazing with a very gentle heart. All the staffs were cooperative. I would surely recommend all to stay in this hotel. The location is also very good with a reasonable price. Do visit and enjoy. Yes, the stairs are a bit problem so good not to go with an elder person.

This hotel is amazing. Rooms are very comfortable and cozy. One can have a breathtaking view from the lounge area. This hotel has a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is very polite and helpful. Their service is great. Food is great. What else is required for a pleasant stay?
