Recently traveled to Dehradun by train and I was very impressed with the Dehradun Train Station. The station is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Dehradun Train Station Opens in a new window I arrived at the station early in the morning and there were already a lot of people there. The station was busy, but it was not overwhelming. The staff were very efficient and they helped me to find my way around the station. I was traveling to Rishikesh, so I had to change trains at Dehradun. The process of changing trains was very smooth and I was able to get on my connecting train without any problems. The waiting areas at the station are clean and comfortable. There are also a number of shops and restaurants in the station, so you can easily find something to eat or drink. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Dehradun Train Station. It is a clean, well-maintained station with friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Dehradun by train. Lovely railway junction from where you'll find trains departing to all the major destinations. Lovely station, and overall very clean and beautiful. Edit: July 2023, I went to the railway station again and it is as good as always.

Dehradun is one of last railway station in Uttarakhand and connects with Capital city of Uttarakhand. Have various trains to Delhi, Lucknow Howrah, Gujarat, Indore, Mathura, Bandra. It is mid sized railway station having all amenities. Connectivity from city is good in day time, you won't get sharing public transport in night. You can get cabs or booking autos.

Dehradun Railway station is a Terminal station that was established by the British in 1899. It's an extremely clean station. There are auto and taxi stands right outside the station that may charge a higher fare if your train happens to reach after 8pm. The station is currently underrgoing structural changes and is a part of the Indian Railways beautification program. There are 4 platforms in the station now with platform 1 being the smallest station. I have taken 12402 Nanda Devi Express most often from this platform. The strange aspect of this station is that when you enter the station, you are on Platform 3. You have to walk to your left to reach Platform 1 and 2. There is a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) on the station. You will find snack outlets and ATM's on the premises.

Dehradun Railway Station is a clean & hygiene station and mostly trains were started from this station and do visit as they are providing service of storing luggage but not hiking bags as they are not having closed storing facility. The station is very good in providing food and there are so many restaurants near station but you need to carry Cash as some are not having NFC, UPI, Bank Transfer Facility. Visit here for good view and have a great journey with it!

This dehradun railway station is the ending railway station, tracks dont go beyond dehradun station. Railway station is always clean. lifts and escalators both are present here and works really well. It is not a very big station it just have about 4-5 platforms. But everything at station are well maintained.
