Dahergad and Bhorgad are two different forts. But both the forts are adjacent to each other. Out of this Bhorgad has radar installed by air force so it is prohibited to go there. The special thing is that the road leading to this Bhorgad bypasses Dahergad and there is a pass on the way, from there we can go to the fort by footpath. But basically we cannot go this way as the road is closed for trekkers like us. That is why we make a mistake that we cannot go to Dehar. But the other way to reach Daher is Rasewadi which is 7 kms above Ashewadi. Near Rasewadi, an unpaved road leads to Daherwadi and from there you can reach Dahergad in two hours.

Dehergad is situated near Ramshej & Bhorgad ... The base village is Deherewadi ... Do not follow Google Maps... Easy for trekking & a little bit difficult in the rainy season... It took ~ 1 hour to reach the top from the base village ... The main attractions of the forts are steps, water cistern, Shiv linga, view road heading towards Bhorgad ... Enjoy

This must have been old watch tower. I did this trek in rainy season and it is medium to hard difficult. During summer it would be easy but exhaustive. One need to keep vehicle near school and start trek. Once you start climbing from North side of fort, one can see big radio antenna on opposite hill. From here ensure we do walk on ridge and does not side line. Last patch is difficult just before top and rope is tighten to rock. Lot of things to explore on top. This is short trek but it's beauty and breath taking views will always keep special memories from trek. No food or any tea stall vendor from right base of village so carry food.

Do you know there is an unexplored fort present near Ramshej fort, Nashik? Dehergad fort is located near Ramshej fort, Nashik. Do not follow google map route otherwise it's wrong. Go ahead of Ramshej fort straight then take left turn to dehergadwadi. Dehergad is located 14-15kms away from Nashik city. Dehergad-Bhorgad come in the same range. but Bhorgad is a restricted place. To reach Dehergad, you need to go 4-5kms ahead from Ramshej fort. and take a left turn to Deherwadi village(base village). From the base village, you need 1-1.5 hours to reach its top. To reach the top always follow arrows made by earlier trekkers as it is hard to find a proper way to this fort. Fort trekkers, this is the best-explored place to explore near the city. Rock stairs, cisterns, Mahadeo Mandir, and Entrance are some of the examples of the historical proof you will find on this fort. It is good option for hard core trekkers. Try to do trek with safety. Thanks!

Dehergad is situated in Dindori Taluka on the opposite of Ramsej fort. Dehergad is also known as "Borgad". Address: On Nashik-Dharampur road there is Ashewadi village & on 4 kms from Ashewadi there is phata which takes us to the base village of Dehergad called "Deherwadi" We can reach the top within an hour from Deherwadi. Google Map shows incorrect path. Please ensure to take left turn from Deherwadi Village, just before to the " Curry Leve Hotel " which will directly takes you to the right path to the treak. This Treak is very beautiful and is real adventure. This is moderate Treak and most of the path is slippery. Please take precautions especially avoid flat sole shoes, during this Treak. Overall it takes 2 hours, this is not that easy treak. Ensure to carry enough drinking water, lime water or energy food along with you. Borgad, Rajdeher and Ramshej are the trio which stands tall to safeguard the trade route of Peth-Sawalghat-Dindori. Once you reached to the top, there are three water tanks and a Shivlinga there. The entire spread is covered with Karvi trees. Open to sky Mahadev Shivlinga South side. * Water tank on West side next to the Shivlinga. * West side view of Borgad fort. * East side view of Ramshej fort. Enjoy you Treak

Google map shows incorrect direction, Google map shows road from prohibited area. Actual route is from dehar village. We started route from Trimurti hills, makad sula to dehargad fort. It was like 40 mins walk, then 30 mins trek. Natural place, great trekking experience, views are awesome. You will find peace of mind.

The base village is Deherewadi of this fort . There is no old structure on the fort . On other side there is Shiv ling and water storage tanks on fort . One hour is sufficient time to reach the top from Deherewadi base village .

Nice fort, quite tricky treak..its completely ruined, only water tanks are intact at some places.. beautiful scenery can be seen from the top of the mountain & surrounding the mountain. Easy to reach this place through Nashik-Peith highway. This fort is opposite to Ramshej & close to Bhorgad.
