Make sure you like to walk because Deer park section is little far from dinosaur fossil park. Absolutely amazing place to visit with kids. There are many sections for different types of deers which includes Black bucks, Sambar(saabar) and Spotted deers. You will find lots of peacocks and monkeys accompanying them. If you are lucky, you will find deers hanging out and roaming around otherwise, they like to sit under roof due to heavy sun light.
Good place to hangout with friends and family. Its totally different than other zoo. It does have many animal and birds. It also have some various statues of different dinosaurs with will attract selfie lover. Animal does have big open space to they can be comfortable. Watch out for local monkeys as they are not in cage. You will guy's like it for sure, if u can walk.
On a Sunday, the Indroda nature park was crowded. Yet we were able to watch them Deers quite clearly. One could sight Blackbuck, White Blackbuck, Chital and Barasinga here. By far one of the largest asset that this zoo has.

Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park is a precious treasure spread over an area of about 400 hectares on either bank of Sabarmati river in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat. Indroda park is regarded as India's Jurrasic Park, it is run by the Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation (GEER), and is the only dinosaur museum in the country. The park consists of a zoo, massive skeletons of sea mammals like the blue whale, as well as a vast botanical garden, amphitheatre, interpretation center and camping facilities. It also has a Wilderness Park which is home to innumerable species of birds, reptiles, hundreds of nilgais, langurs and peafowls in its vast forest.
Great place for kids and families, zoo is very big that's why need of directional guidance, place is very calm and natural.
