It is built in a very large area and has a number of things to see. It is mainly visited for its greenery and quiet environment. It is built alongside a canal and has many unfinished projects, such as a water park, museum, and boating area. You will see beautiful statues at the entrance. You can come here for a picnic.

Situated along the Lucknow-Allahabad highway near Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science (SGPGI), the park was inaugurated by the then irrigation minister of Uttar Pradesh Sri OP Singh in the year 2001. It was conceived as a grand project of irrigation department wherein irrigation museum and other such things were proposed on a large scale. Construction was started but because of political considerations, it was stopped before it could reach completion. A huge amount of money which was splurged, gone waste and became infructuous. It is painful to see the blatant misuse of public money. The park, which could have been a happening place, is in a shabby condition even after two decades of time. Everything is out of gear. The costly fountains, water sport slides and ponds, children play area and a highly touted lake wherein boating facility was being provided to visitors albeit on charge basis. The damaged boats, almost dry lake and uprooted fountains are telling the story of apathy and ignorance. It is highly disappointing to visit the park. The incomplete concrete structures have been left unattended; kiosks are closed except one or two. General upkeep shows a high degree of ignorance. Public amenities are either not functional or they are closed. The entry is by ticket. It is pathetic that the public is being charged to enter in a premise which is not at all deserve to be ticketed. At the top of it, people have to shell Rs 20 to park their car in addition. The place needs attention. The aim with which it was created can be fulfilled by its proper upkeep which will rejuvenate the spot and add a feather in the city's cap. However, for now, it utterly disillusions a visitor.

Good theme park. But not being maintained properly. No drinking water facility. Seating chairs are not cleaned. It has some children playing area.
