Decostel Backpackers Hostel - Backpacker Hostel in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore - Coimbatore, India

I stayed at this hostel and had a very bad experience. The owner was rude and had all sorts of weird rules. For example, he wanted me to vacate the hostel even though I had paid for the whole day just because he wanted to lock the door and sleep earlier. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to have some freedom. The owner is too controlling and the rules are too strict. If you're looking for a place to stay where you can relax and do your own thing, I would look elsewhere.

It's Ok Ok kind of hostel , Rs500 per person was high compared to rooms. Don't forget to take mosquito coil with you as there are many mosquitos in the room

Bad experience! Bed was filthy and I got bed bugs after sleeping:(( It's cheap but it's not worth a week of itching afterwards!!

I dont recommend coming here. The price is very high for what you get, we arrived and there was no one there. The pictures on the google are so different, the room is tiny, no nets for the windows so the mosquitoes come in and if you close them its so dark . Sheets are dirty and so are the toilets that are out side . There is no hot watter and no shower only bucket. Its no worth the money.

We as a group booked this hostel for one night, as we have to catch the train next day morning. The guy who is responsible for booking got the advance for room booking and gave assurance that the room will be booked. But in the day we arrived there, room was not available and he was blabbering about some adjustments, he lies a lot. Never ever do advance booking with this guys total fraud and he haven't even returned the full advance amount, even though it is his fault not to provide proper accomodation. 1. Over all it is a horrible experience with them. 2. Never expect a proper response and respect from these guys after paying advance. 3. Dont ever trust this cheaters 4. Pay only after looking into the rooms.

I had a great experience staying here! Starting from booking to Check-in to stay and till Check-out. It was a seamless experience. There was no staff when we visited. I felt like I was in a self check-in property. I was guided over phone and everything was monitored over CCTV. Very Affordable, Easily Accessible, Lovely Ambience, Good Amenities and above all the rules and regulations posted in the rooms and in the toilets were creative

This is the budget friendly hostel, it is well maintained and good place for stay, and great ambiance too. Owner is too polite and too helpfull and more over he is a nature lover if i am not wrong, he has well maintained garden with varieties of plants.

Don't know why this place has negative reviews. It's a typical backpacker hostel. In the centre of city. 500rs per bed per night. If you are coming alone best place to stay. You get to meet amazing people. And that's what we travel for, aren't we!
