The best seafood you'll find in Pondicherry. We ordered lobster in butter garlic sauce, grilled Red Snapper, squids and crab balls. Every single dish was outstanding. And so reasonable ...our total bill was under 2k!!!! Special mention crab lollipops which were fried yet not oily, the crust was super thin and crispy with generous crab filling. I'd highly recommend having a meal at De Bluefin because you don't want to miss this heavenly food experience.

The food taste is good. But the quantity of serving was quite less compared to the price charged. Also they don't serve alcohol. Atmosphere is also just ok. Washroom is very dirty. Also other than sea food dishes, any other dish is not very tasty. Sea food platter was tasty. But butter chicken was too sweet and not good in taste.

Two words! TOP NOTCH! Head over to this restaurant if you're curious to see what crab and lobster meat tastes like. Live crab and live lobster is highly recommended. Singapore style flavour for crab and coastal spices flavour for the lobster is the best.

We had a bitter-sweet experience at De Bluefin Seafood restaurant. After knowing that it was one of the most sought after eateries for sea food in Puducherry, we made it a point to have at least 1 meal at this place. But only 1 meal is something that one could try this place for. The ambiance was pretty chaotic which is both good and bad. The rush said a lot about the reputation of the restaurant but the lack of management by the staff made the experience a bit sour. We reached for lunch and there weren't any empty tables and there was no place to wait as well. The serving staff discouraged us from waiting as they were overwhelmed with the amount of diners. We mainly visited this restaurant for the lobster and we had a mixed experience there as well. The process of selection of the lobster was a new one for us as they let you handpick the one that you want to feed on and charge you as per the weight. Unfortunately, we were not served the one that we chose which was dismal. The serving staff was apologetic but the mismanagement was obvious here as well. The mango fish curry with jeera rice was a good choice and can definitely be tried.

We tried crab chettinad , pulka and ghee roti , the crab masala was very tasty. A must try item! But the bread was not tasty , and the quantity of bread was very poor. In the menu card 1 pulka is for 30 rs . And they provide 2 pieces. But the reality is a pulka is half the size of roti. In my opinion the crab chettinad was awesome and in the case of bread , the taste and quantity was very poor. And the ambience was also nice.

*Tasted Crab for the first time in my life!!* Went to have food here 2times in the same day! Service and atmosphere is good! But the food is delicious!!! Had coastal sea food platter for lunch.. Sufficient for 2 but was little expensive.. Decided to have dinner here to try the crab for the first time in my life. But in dinner we had chettinad crab... And I must say it was the best dish I ate in pondicherry!! I even called the chef out to thank him for the food! Definitely recommend you to try the food here..

Not worth it, for lobster bites you can try near promenade beach food on wheels with the same taste and they are serving 7. Prawns are the best, fish taste is very bad and ordinary i would say. Not worth the money they are charging 998 including taxes, I would suggest trying near promenade beach will be better, we will get all the items around 500 rupees. Totally overhyped.

It is an average restaurant with limited seating. The space is quite less to accommodate more crowd. When we visited we had to wait for around half an hour for a table. The staff strength was quite less. Hence, there was no proper coordination. The sea food was great here Sea food platters were curated well Hoped to get more out of lobsters, though. We had: Sea food soup Sea food platter Lobster trio platter Fish fry Rice and prawns curry. Just considering the food part, it is a great place to visit.
