Days Residence - Girl's Hostel in Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

I have stayed here for around 2 years now. They clean the rooms and toilets on alternate days, which is good. Water in toilets is borewell water. And recently, there's almost always water trouble. Mostly, muddy water comes through the toilet taps. This was most prominent 3 months ago when the water was very black and smelly and they started giving out water during time slots from 6 to 9 for around a month. Now, they provide water all the time but still, muddy most times. And if someone takes more than two bottles of drinking water from water purifier they start talking too much. Breakfast is good. They provide different items each day, like idli, dosa, appam, uppma, puttu, puri. But Lunch is not. Mostly there would be a curry and some thoran. Curry is almost not good expect for sambar. There is snacks alongwith tea which is for namesake. They make pazhampori by cutting a banana into 10 parts and give out a very small piece for everyone, usually smaller than our little finger. They don't let you take an extra one. Every other snack is of smaller size than you can find anywhere else in the world. One kitchen lady would be looking out very carefully not to let anyone take an extra one. So, be very careful. The same is the case when they give plantain with upma. Nowadays, its the smallest size one can find and that too never more than one. Dinner is okay. Its always rice. There would be some non-veg item like chicken, fish, egg. Nowadays that too is on ration. Boiled egg is cut into two. You only get one piece. Chicken 2 pieces and fish one. Nevertheless, its far far better than lunch. There is no study hall. Students mostly sit in the mess and study. There's only 2 fans in the mess so you have got to sit accordingly. Also, you can sit at the closed terrace. So most students sit in the room and study. There's provision to dry your wet clothes in the terrace.

Worst hostel experience ever. The hostel warden is very rude and arrogant. They are only good in asking the fees not anything else. If we say any complaint they don't give any value. This hostel has the highest fees in this locality but the services provided are very poor. Water is the main issue in this hostel. The discoloration of water is the main problem. Earlier the water was black in colour with bad odour and they claimed that solved the issue. But one week later, the problem still continues and now the colour of water is yellow. Bathing in this water is causing skin irritations and because of that we are taking water from the basement and lifting it to the 3rd and 4th floor. They are giving lame excuses when we raise these issues. They claim that they bought water worth 2000 , 3000 for our use but still the problem stays and they don't know what the issue is. They asks us to open the taps in the bathrooms until the colour changes but still the problem persists. Are they using this yellow water for cooking. We seriously don't know that. Some of the inmates are facing stomach ache. It may be due to the water or the food. Please don't prefer this hostel.

Very nice place to stay in the heart of Kochi, my sister stayed here for almost 1 year, she is very happy with the food and clean rooms, very easy to reach from railway station, metro station, bus stand, stadium. . They also provide complete security to the hostelers and we suggest this hostel if you are looking for a place with good atmosphere to stay

Safest hostel in Kaloor. I took admission for my sister. While we took admission, the warden clearly explained all the rules when we asked. She also informed about the problems in water supply right now. They are using external water soruce for now.

Days residence is the worst hostel for staying near kochi. Most of the hostelers are discomfort to stay here. my sister is also stay here for a while, then she have a lots of bad experince from the side of warden. One of the warden is very disrespect and rude. The hostel hygine is very bad. They are not provide drinking water properly.

This hostel doesn't even deserve a star. The two ladies sitting in the front office were very rude, even to parents. They always have a tendency to change their word on permits, rooms, and other things. So I request everyone who's reading this to think twice and be 100% sure before paying the advance because they won't refund it. Also, don't fall into the trap of paying the entire month's charge up front because they won't repay it.

Its a wonderful place to stay in kaloor. Every places are easy to reach. Metro station is near (town hall). 24*7 wifi They will provide bed and mattress we only have to bring bed cover and pillow Food is really good. Every night non veg is available They keep the rooms very clean Fees is bit high but worth it

The accountant is a very bad lady. She talks as if we are beggars and uses very bad language. She is very harassing. Hostel life is hell after she came.
