Daya River View Point.. A peaceful place... It's a beautiful spot behind the Dhauli Shanti Stupa on the banks of river Daya... The nature's beauty becomes more enhanced during sunset... Spend a single Eve here & definitely your mind will be refreshed..
Long steps down to the river. Nice location. If you want you can take a swim here! Also from here follow the road next to the river to the main road. Absolutely a scenic view and surrounding.
It's a very good place to visit in Bhubaneswar. And it's a suitable place for hanging out with friends and family and arranging a function or feast. This place has some history behind it , there you'll feel a little better if you read the history behind it .
This place is very calm. The best way to enjoy it at evening for sunset . You can also enjoy this view from the top of dhauli where daya river and sunset is sporting for a great scenery. September to onward is the proper time to enjoy this place thanks to natural ingredients.
Though It's not a place for family people as it is different from the particular Dhauli area. This place is kinda smoking area for the local people or some other guys who goes regularly there. Can't say if it safe for newly roaming people or tourists bt rest about the place it is breathtaking beautiful during sunset it looks even more beautiful.
Just an elemental view of the historic Data river. It is said that during the great Kalinga war in the 3rd century BC, the waters of this river turned into red with the bloods of the Kalingans who were slain by the army of Ashoka. After that incident the Ashoka the great underwent a change of heart.
This place is just backside of the dhauli (shanti)stupa, this place is very calm and soothing with a view of clear fields and river side, u can even have a better view from dhauli stupa but i would suggest to come near the river bank and enjoy the beauty, the best time is during sunset.
