Dasturi Point - Featured Reviews (1975)
This Dasturi point acts as a joining point in between Neral and Matheran when you travel by Road. Beyond this point no Vehicles are allowed to enter Matheran. You need to park your vehicles here or drop here if came by public Vehicles. From Dasturi point you have multiple options like walking, mini train, horse ride, hand driven rikshaw. They started E rikshaw, but Currently not Working due to nature protection conditions. If you are in group even walking is also a good option, not suggested for siiniyr person aur people with leg and ghuttne kaa problem. Rest will enjoy Walk till Matheran from Dasturi point. You have to pay entry tax at these point to enter Matheran.
Dasturi point is a start point to Matheran. Has good parking space available and can accommodate many cars. At this point, you will have to decide whether you want to walk or take a horse or train or buggy to reach the main market or hotel. It takes 45mins-1 hour to walk that route. Walk is my personal best option since the route is very beautiful with a lot of trees around.
Very busy and crowdy. Well maintained. Beyond this point there is no vehicle access. You have to park your 2/4 wheelers at this location which is pay and park. From this point you have to take entry ticket for matheran. Parking charges are as per photo attached.
Costed Rs100 for entry point. E-auto and horses available from dastoori point to Matheran (main market). Other option is to take toy train from Aman lodge to Matheran. One can go by walking also.
The last point where you can take your vehicle. After that you have options of by horse, by train or by walk. Pleasant environment. Good to visit in monsoon and winter but monsoon is best. Use and throw raincoat and caps are available. Overall good experience
This is the parking palce if you visit matheran. Lots of space to park your vehicle. Toilet is available and you can also book horses and manual rikshaw, they'll show you almost all the view points and market place of the hill station. Entry fees Rs50 at the entry for Aman Lodge station, from that you can go by toy train, hourse, walking to Matheran station. Distance from dasturi to Matheran is 2km. Big Parking area for two wheeler and four wheeler. Charges are very high, Rs90 for bike and Rs150 for car. Online payment is available but Jio and Airtel net works very slow, suggest to carry cash.
This Is The Last Place Of Vehicles ... All Vehicles Last Stop .. No Vehicle Allow After This .... This Is The Main Entry Of Matheran Hills ... You have to Buy Tickets For Entry In This ... Ticket prices are 25 Rs for Child & 50 Rs for adults ...... You can Buy Temporary plastic Raincoat in 60 rs .... Which is durable for your trip...
Dasturi Point is Parking area for Matheran . 100 rs for a day parking charges . Not well organised parking slots . Be careful about dry branch of trees they might fall on your car. They will insist you for driver but it's not needed if you are good driver.
Best place if you want to Trek/walk for hours. All view points are worth trekking. MUST book the hotel online before you visiting the place and visit on weekdays. Worth staying 2-3 days to cover all the view points.
Matheran, a charming hill station, is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. I was captivated by its tranquil beauty and clean, pollution-free environment. What I like about this place is, that no vehicles are allowed within the town. Additionally, no ce

This temple is located in the hill-station of Matheran in Maharashtra, and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is the oldest temple in Matheran and the deity Pisarnath is the grama devata of Matheran village. The idol of Lord Shiva in this temple is 'Sw
Instead of riding a horse, we trekked for 5 km to reach One Tree hill and it was worth the experience. The path to the tree was a bit challenging but the view and the feeling after reaching that place was amazing. We started early in the morning arou
