Dasaswamedha Ghata Maa Baitarani - Place of worship in Jajpur, Rajpur - Jajpur, India

This ghat us on river Baitharani. Mostly people visit here for Asthi Bisarjan rituals of their loved ones. This place needs a lot of improvement in terms of facilities.

This is the place where" Asti Bisarjan" rituals of Hindus are being done. Beautifully constructed Pindis are there. Brahmins are Barbers are available readily. At present,They charge a fee with option of Rs700, Rs1500/-Rs2100/- for different types of pindadan rituals.This include the cost of materials required for the rituals. The priest doing Puja may ask for some money giving a plea but you need not encourage this as everything including Brahmins bhojan barber fee etc are included. The route in Google map is correct. ((And at a say 3.5 km away Maa Biraja temple is situated, where Navigaya " is situated. Here only pindadan(shradh karm) can be performed. ))

Actually this place is a power point,due to it situated between Barahadev,sapta matrika,lord jagannath temple, which is said to be Older than puri Jagannath temple and Navagraha temple and several very ancient Shiva temples and somany other temples with maha smashan,near by the tallest Shiv statue,tallest Ganesh and it's mesmerizing feeling,just sit for some time, you will be recharged ,one place to seat and solve your problems,due to the positioning of the place.sit ,meditate or pray or worship,you will find a positive vibe in yourself,lastly although this place was neglected in development, but happily present MLA pranab prakash das,has taken several initiatives to regain its lost glory and lastly nobody can describe this place , thanks for your time

Dasaswamedh Ghat is situated on the bank of the holy river Baitarani in the district of Jajpur. The Baruni Snana is held every twelve years. The history of this place is that king Jajati Kheshori makes a huge Jagyan in the same place. So the name of Jajapur comes from this word. Dasaswamedh Ghat has a direct connection with history at the time of king Jajati, who made a big Jagyan at this place. Dasaswamedh Ghata is one of the most popular famous Temples in Jajpur, Odisha.
