Darjeeling Cafe is a hidden gem in Nungambakkam for anyone who loves Chinese food. This place is located near Ingi & Soy in Sterling Road. It's a very small shop, mostly suitable only for takeaways, but the food they provide is something else! Freshly prepared, super yummy Chinese and Indo Chinese food at a reasonable price. Starters were good, nothing exceptional. Momos are a must try here, especially pan-fried ones. Fried rice varieties were super tasty and are also a must try. Thai chicken curry with steamed rice is simply worth the money. This place is a must try for Asian food lovers!! 9/10
A Memorable Return to Darjeeling Cafe in Nungambakkam! I had the pleasure of revisiting Darjeeling Cafe after quite a while, and I must say it was an incredible experience, just like in my college days back in 2020 during the lockdown. The cafe has maintained its top-notch quality and friendly service. The momos here are an absolute treat for the taste buds. They are simply delicious and have that authentic flavor that's hard to find elsewhere. I couldn't resist ordering them again, and they didn't disappoint! The thupka was as flavorful and comforting as I remembered. It's the perfect dish for a cozy meal, especially on a chilly day. And let's not forget about the chilli prawns - they are a must-try! The perfect blend of spices and freshness, each bite is a burst of flavor that leaves you craving for more. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for a get-together or a romantic dinner. The staff is friendly, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. Darjeeling Cafe truly brings back fond memories, and I'm delighted to see that their quality remains consistently high. It's no wonder that it's still one of my favorite places to dine in Chennai. If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit - you won't be disappointed!
The place was a bit congested. Seems like more often they are coming to order online. The food was really good. It was so nice to enjoy the dishes specially the Momos. It was well steamed and the inside stuff was really good.
Fell in love at first bite. Pan fried chicken momos and their chicken thukpa are must try. Momos were fried just the right amount and was out of the world. Loved the Chicken Thukpa too. Manchow soup is an absolute winner. Perfect blend of spices and flavours. The quantity and the flavours of the Schezwan noodles was good. Have visited twice within a span of 30 days.
Yesterday I went to Dj cafe with my sister i really like the ambiance whatever we ate there like momo, noodles chicken soup etc it was really very very tasty this cafe make me feel like I'm in my own hometown so highly recommend this cafe please visit....and taste the food
If you're a tibetuan cuisine lovee like I am, then this place is a must-go. Their steamed rice and Thai chicken curry was soo good. I personally would recommend to order from this place rather than dining in since it is a very small shop.
We tried the veg momos and chicken thukpa but the momos were soggy. They chicken thukpa broth tasted good but the chicken pieces were extremely small and the quantity wasn't much. The chicken pieces were mostly cartilage and skin which curls up when boiled. The place was small and humid, I wouldn't suggest a family dinner here. Maybe a quick bite with your best friend.
Was craving for authentic momo and I came across this cafe. Their steamed momo tasted really very good compared to other places. Next time would come again to try other food too!
