Beautiful darbhanga fort Currently used as court by the government . x Darbhanga is one of the most beautiful locations of Bihar, it could be used as a tourist and also to generate revenue
It's a national heritage site . But authorities are not at all worried about the condition of the palace . It can become a place of national importance which can attract large number of tourists from all over the country , but managed very poorly . Government should give it some attention and revive the palace for promoting tourism in Darbhanga. It is very near to railway station and bus stand .
It's my hometown, I have been here for more than 5years and it's really gives a pleasant vibes when you visit . So calm and quiet area . Positive vibrations will just blow your mind .Must visit once to overcome your all negative thoughts
Beautiful place on the whole. The vast area of the fort shows how prospered those times were in terms of Mithila architecture. The walls aren't preserved well, otherwise it would have been in the league of Delhi/Agra forts. Picturesque greenery and water bodies around further add to it. Most of the area inside the fort is either abandoned or sold to public. The high walls along with the lake inside resemble those in Chittorgarh's Gaumukh. Easily reachable by autorickshaw. University attracts more visitors. No doubt the Hawk-eye angle of the fort is awesome. Not recommended to visit during rainy season. Cleanliness and drainage isn't maintained well here. Good to have auch places of historical importance in Bihar. Nearly 2.5km from the railway station, you won't find any restaurants nearby.
Darbhanga Fort is also called Ram Bagh Fort, because it is situated in Rambagh Palace inside the fort. Rambagh campus is surrounded by walls and spreads in about 85 acres of land. But when the construction of the fort was completed on three sides and the wall of the western part was being constructed that India got independence from the British rule. In India, the new government came to power and stopped the princely state and zamindari system. As a result, the semi-constructed wall was built up to the same place and the fort was stopped. The main gate of the fort which is called the Sinhala, but rare scenes from architecture have been scattered. The ditch was constructed around the wall within the fort. It was filled with equal water in the trench. It was done for the protection of the fort and, in fact, the Raj family.
It's a nice place to visit as it if one kind of fort where you can see people living inside. Here you will find that much of the land is given to university but still, it's a nice place which add extra edge to the history of Darbhanga, Bihar.
Nice place to visit .and you can also come with your special one
The place where you can find peace and noise It's all depends on your location choice
