It's a nice small airport. But no place to wait. When flight gets delayed no pace at all. The bathrooms are like non functional. Airport entry management is also very poor. No sense of crowd management. An experience that I think in an age when we claim to have great technology in our country. Still is not the state of the art. Much improvements are needed. Staff needs lots of training to manage change of schedule. Only one X-ray scanner. Super tiny flight info boards.
Darbhanga Airport is a very important airport in terms of convenience as it saves time for various people such as nearby Nepal border people along with that the airport needs a lot of infrastructure development because the space inside the airport is very less which causes a very hassle experience as the security check takes a lot of time, therefore, I recommend everyone to reach the airport before 2 hrs boarding so that you can have your all procedure before time.Airport is smaller than the bus station but thats not the problem, Its again the non standard way of running the airport. Security checkin takes more than 1 hour 15 min.

Yes foot walk made with roof. Somehow the passengers feel relief. The walk way towards the terminal is now nearest to the entrance of airport. New entrance gate and exit gate is open and easy for the passengers. I really save the time to traveling from Darbhanga Airport. Earlier I was going from the Patna Airport. Love to visit again. Yes there is only one change I see here the airport side roadway decorated by Mithila painting by the Govt of Bihar. Much work needed here for the good facilities for the passengers. The wheelchair entrance and parking facilities are available at the Darbhanga airport.
It's great that darbhanga has an airport Resources are very less for running the Airport But it can be manager well even with less resources This airport is a joke and I don't want to say but people will make jokes out of it of bihar for such king of airports and such managment Please train staff well send them to different airports in the country to get trained And please work on the infrastructure
Really Poorly Managed airport. There are other smaller airports managed beautifully. But this is completely mis managed airport. Not sure why but even Flight keeps getting delayed. And this is very frequent. AAI should review and revive it. They should take the responsibility and provide better infrastructure. Possible reason could be very high number of air passengers. If this is the case AAI should have developed and bigger one Even Approach road to airport is pathetic. I shall get worse day by day
It is convenient to reach metro cities. Overall, it is good since airport is in developing stage and under defence jurisdiction.
Horrible airport. Very cramped. Not fit to even being called a bus stand. Shame on the govt to operate this type of service. The govt is working on numbers rather than comfort. Also, very expensive tickets with such bad infra
