Servers wel behaved , food ok and can be better if they try, ambience good. Earlier it was known as easy bites and it's the same place with a new name. Ordered kabab platter which was good, but they served two items of paneer, instead of two they could have added brocolli or mushrooms or babycorn or any other stuff, one was soya chaap, stuffed potato and cottage cheese cutlet again something out of paneer. Next we ordered nizami handi which had Biryani, salad, palak paneer and raita and papas. Biryani tasted like pulao added with raisins and cashews, not up to the mark. Raita was good, palak paneer was good too. Fresh lime soda was not great but was ok ok.

This is one of the first community park that was made by the British... There is a huge lake in the middle...with fountain and ducks... There is a newly refurbished walk area on thw banks of the lake... Apart from that a portion of the square used to be a mini bus stand...which has now been taken over for metro work...for an upcoming metro station M at that location... Since it is located bang opposite to the old secretariat building...Writers Building...it has and underground parking [P]...over that structure there is a park with few statues...however the park is inaccessible to normal people...but the park is maintained properly...

It's an office hub area and its an advice that don't buy anything into the street side market, though goods are cheap but products are very bad quality, specially bags and clothes, once gets defected it cannot be repaired. Rather its preferable to go Esplanade new market.

All the buses of Office areas in Kolkata used to stand here. Writer's Building was the main government office for centuries. Now metro rail project is going on so the buses are not allowed to stand in the terminus. They keep doing circle to board passenger. Hope Metro Rail will start it's journey soon.(This is 17th December,2019 I am writing.)

Busy crowded crossing always specially at office hours. Some important department and offices located here. Shopping from footpath very special here and you can bargain with hawkers. Nice foods,snacks,fruits you can avail here on roadsides for your tiffin and lunch.
