One of the most well preserved temples of Odisha yet known to a very few, the temple was built by King Narasimha Deva, around the same time as the Konark temple , the architecture as well as the beautiful carvings reminds of the time when the Kalinga style of Architecture was at its peak
Less popular outside local town Banpur. But it's a 13th Century Shiva temple with ancient stone works
Nice oldest temple same period as Konark Sun temple. The Stick representative of Maa Birijai exists here. This is the father's place of Maa Bhagabati of Banapura. The movable stick goddess visit this place every Tuesday n Saturday. The sculpture is beautiful and worth of visiting the site.
This place is vintage. Loved the subtle old world charm that is still intact in the middle of an otherwise developing concrete neighborhood
History and photography buffs.. Roll up ur sleeves.. Beautiful and serene temple
An ASI PROTECTED MONUMENT at the heart of Banapur Town. Very Old Temple nearly about 11th Century AD.
Beautiful place and one can see the beauty of ancient artistry.
Banapur bhagabati is one of the most Popular Sakti pitha in odisha . Well connected to NH 14. Single road way to the temple and parking is limited. Everyone should visit once in life time. But parking not good very high cost and behaviour very bad .
