Dakshinayan - Shela - South Indian restaurant in Shela - Ahmadabad, India

Loved loved loved everything here! Their Nei Idli was absolutely foodgasmic. It was the first thing my eyes fell on which ordering and would surely be something I'll keep ordering in the future. We also had Masala Idli with an oh-so-delicious Sambhar and variety of Chutneys. We shamelessly finished the entire meal in minutes, praising it with our mouth full. The servers are dressed in dhotis which we felt as a nice touch to the entire ambience of the restaurant- filled with colourful portraits and hangings depicting the culture of the South. There weren't many table occupied; it was a summer noon - so it was quiet.

Good food Good taste and overall a great experience for South Indian items. It's the best place for South Indian food.

Best spring dosa and rava masala dosa is all time favourite and same taste everytime And lastly must try masala idli

Food quality is really good. But it is very expensive. Not really justifies the quantity of food. The quantity is medium, but the price is very high.

This outlet also shows the bright colours of our south culture in its authentic food taste & ambience! The staff is very polite and humble! Thank you

This south Indian restaurant is the third branch of Dakshinayan. It is in shela adjoining reliance retail. Parking is available. Ambience is good. Taste is a bit less as compared to its main branch. My fouth visit to this place now. Today visiting for 7th time. Now is the time to make it 5 star.

Shocking experience. Extremely rude staff. Most of the items are frozen/old - Not fresh. We were returning from a motorcycle ride from Rajasthan, reached Shela branch at 2:35 today and checked if it is open. We were told we need to place order by 3 pm so we went in. While we had experience of poor quality food delivered from this joint in the past through zomato, we still thought what the hell. We were hungry and this was near. I removed my riding jacket, sat on the table and took a sip of water - It was 2:38 and I was reaching for the menu... The waiter charged at the table, snapped his fingers and rudely asked us to order fatafat! We stood up and left after reminding him politely that we were their customers and not seeking alms... Never returning to Dakshiniyan.
