Daffodil PG 001 - Working Women's Hostel in Chennai - Chennai, India

To be very honest, initially the hostel management and staffs will talk sweet words to pull you in. You will be sent a list of protocols via mail that has to be followed by the inmates, but the management themselves fail to follow it. They'll collect an advance deposit before taking you into the hostel and promising that it's completely refundable once you vacate the hostel, this is what they say but after literally sending out 1000 mails and phone calls they'll lethargically disconnect your calls and ignore your messages. However after constantly pestering them I got my money back. Your things aren't completely safe there on asking if anything goes missing they'll simply reply saying we'll look into the matter and disappear. There was an instance when the AC in my room wasn't working and I had raised complaint for the same they kept delaying for repair and the same month i received my electricity bill as 3000. After sending out multiple mails and calls they sent the revised bill stating that it was meter reading mistake. That's how worst their management is. It is surely run by money minded people whose goal is to however pull you into the hostel but what happens later will make you regret. I kindly request if you have an option to look for some other good PGs go for it or better rent a room if you are a group. Either ways you're gonna spend on buying outside food.

This place is not comfortable at all. They will talk nicely before you get in to this filthy place but if you have any issues they will not help you. They do not respond to emails and calls but the reminder for food and rent will be on time. I stayed in the place for 8 days and I paid 8000. They did not refund that money. It's been two months,they are not responding to any of my calls. They do not have any basic manners to return people's money. I had some personal issues and the people who is been searching for me found this place. They just gave my personal information to the stranger and who called himself dad.Firstofall they shouldn't have gave my personal to anyone for that matter. Let it be anyone.. They should have asked my permission before they could give out my information. I have emailing them for past two months. No action has been taken. Very worst people and greedy for money. I am not giving worst review. If you think am exaggerating please the photos I have attached. Excellent location . Friendly people. The best thing i liked about this pg is the self cooking option. Neat customised kitchen with good water facility. It's complementary to all the tenants and no extra charges collected. Fridge is provide in each floor to store vegetables and fruits. They maintain the building clean and neat making your stay comfortable and homely.

I have stayed here for 6 months and i vacated my room two months back, still they are not refunding my advance money back. All the member of management team have been ghosting me since last week. Return my money back. You guys never ever cared about your tenants.

I have stayed for a year and honestly I am so happy we found this place.Very nice, friendly and professional staffs . Beautiful lobby with good paintings on the wall surely can make you feel like you home. The room was lovely, super clean with most comfortable bed. The bathroom with shower very clean. Locker facilities helps keep your belongings and valuables safe. Overall I had a great homely stay!!!

My friend stayed here.Neat and clean environment. They maintain the halls and lobby clean and neat. Pleasant walking in the lobby. The management instructs the tenants to follow certain rules and regulations ,which would make your stay as well the others stay comfortable. It's hard to find a pg that operates with such high standard protocols.

I have stayed in a double occupancy room in building no.2, Velachery for around 6 months. The stay is remarkable and recommendable. Rooms are spacious and clean. All necessary amenities are available. Each query raised to the management will be addressed and solved effectively. However, I would suggest self cooking/ordering food for those who are not based in TN.

I previously gave 5 star ratings for this hostel because it was good and I stayed here again. But my 8 month stay again became the worst. The management is terrible. They ask us to interact with them only through mails but they will NEVER OR RARELY reply to e-mails. They will charge a lot for Electricity and they will not share how they are calculating it. Getting the refund is really a tedious and tiring task. They treat us as if we are living there for free and they are doing a favour to us. There is no prior intimation given if men are entering hostel. They just walk in. IT was a good hostel but now it seems like they themselves want only quantity and not quality to be maintained. I faced the refund issue even when I vacated earlier but I thought that was the only problem and adjusted with it. Facilities provided are good but you cannot approach anyone for any issue. And that makes the stay a terrible one. They will also refund only after you give them a good rating. They spoke to me after I vacated to know the issues I faced only to ask me to change my reviews here. I am not a competitor and this is not a fake review. I also have proof of them telling me that my refund depends on the rating I give them here. No one contacted me when I raised complaints when I stayed there. Only after my review on Google, they contacted me only to ask me to give them a 3 star rating.
