Best place to hangout with friends. Girls are not allowed through the institute gate so have to take the long way outside of the campus. Highly advisable if you want to cure your hunger economically. People with interests in chemicals not easily accessible are going to find this place very helpful.
One of the places I frequently visited during my stay at NIT Rourkela. The food(fast food)available here is cheap and of best quality. I would recommend the 'egg fried Maggi'. Along with the food items basic stationary is also available here. This place is drop off point for the zomato service. Only drawback is the cleanliness,needs a lot of care and improvement. As far as I know this place also has a bike renting stall.
One of the most popular places in the whole of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (might be more popular than the Lecture Avenue itself). It is visited all kinds of people, locals as well as NIT students(not allowed for freshers for certain reasons and for their own benefit). It is a refreshment place where people either have snacks or smoke cigarettes (because of the latter mostly amd since they come, the former). U can get the CHEAPEST snacks here, literally and the taste is way worth the price. At this place, you can even rent scooty and bikes at rather cheap prices.
