Average bus stand with lots of frequent buses to Madurai, Dindigul, Kumily etc.. No proper seating or shelter facility. Difficult to track bus bays, but Drivers and Conductors are helpful. Toilet persons cheat once they know we are outsiders. Charging 10/- for Urine pass, even though price board displayed shows 5/-..

Moderately maintained, crowded bus stand, serves the passenger needs. There are many bus services to Hosur Selam Trichy Chennai Pondicherry Bangalore and southern parts of TN being scheduled from here. There are bus services to Kerala and the KL - TN interstate services too pass through this hub
Need to be more neat. Chairs are not enough for passengers. All notices and destination boards of buses are only in Tamil language. Must use English boards for people from other states.

Cleanliness, what is that? A poorly maintained bus stand. I had to travel from Madurai to Kumily. There are very few direct buses but one can hop on to a bus to Cumbum from Madurai ( every 10 minutes there is a bus from Arapalayam Bus Stand). There are plenty of buses from Cumbum to Kumily. One would hardly waste anytime waiting for the onward journey. Kumily is well connected to Kottayam by road.
No decent rest room & seats available for bus waiting periods. No decent hotel available inside and nearby place.
