If you are seeking a unique dining experience in a vintage setting, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Whether you are a history enthusiast or simply appreciate the charm of a bygone era, you will surely be enchanted by the beautiful ambiance and delicious food on offer. The menu at this restaurant was equally delightful. It featured a mix of classic dishes and creative interpretations of traditional recipes. Each dish was carefully prepared and presented with finesse. The flavors were rich, satisfying, and made with high-quality ingredients.
Very conveniently located on the main road. Extremely popular. Large and spacious. Quick service. Decorated with utensils, tools and weapons used traditionally by the Kodava folks. Great opportunity to get a glimpse of how the Kodavas cooked and lived. Coming to the food, almost all the dishes were authentic and delicious. A very large range of Authentic Kodava dishes.
Traditional coorgi cuisine.. we ordered pork pepper fry, chicken masala ans akki roti.. biryani to end the meal.. amazing food and you get to experience the Coorg ambience with their old artefacts.. try their orange/watermelon juice, very refreshing! Negatives - Too crowded during weekends. Service is extremely slow.
It was a devastating experience. We went as a family and all 4 of us had food poisoning the next morning. There were different varieties of pork dishes and each of them competed amongst themselves on how worse they could taste. We also ordered chicken Biriyani and that's another whole level bad experience. Nobody cares about the service. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant when we went and yet these guys took so long to serve. I cannot empathise more on how bad the food and service was. Never looking back to this restaurant. If you'd love to have both vomiting and diarrhoea at the same time, wanting to rush to the hospitals, then the doors of this restaurant are open for you.
The food was tasty. But the service is pathetic. They kept mineral water bottle on the table, but no glasses. For glasses we had to call the waiter again. No fork/spoon given with side dishes or starters. Again we had to request separately. No salt, pepper and sauces given with soup. When asked for salt and pepper, salt was given in a small bowl, no shaker was given whatsoever. This was the second time in a row we were facing issues with their service.
Food is really good so is the service, but not the location as its inside a complex,no lifts have to climb two flights of steps. This place has a whole lot of antique collection displayed on the walls and in showcases.
Visited this hotel may be fourth time in all these years..at Gonikoppa... Nice place... good environment.... good and varieties of food..... expected curries to be even more spicy and tasty. Akki Rotti, Roties,etc..were good ....it is very informative and educative that many old utensils, agriculture related items were displayed throughout the hotel which children and all genre people love it and myself became nostalgic after seeing those items.....Good hotel to have lunch/dinner/breakfast..... for both veg and non veg
We tried their food while on our way to Virajpet. Ordered chicken fried rice, paneer butter masala, rotis & curd. Chicken in fried rice was so hard & overcooked that it was difficult to chew. There was too much butter / oil floating on top of paneer gravy. We had the food as we didn't want to spend more time going elsewhere & ordering etc.

We loved our stay felt very welcome. In the middle of the jungle, we loved the vibe, super nice family, and great food. Arjun is super friendly and took care of us, gave us many recommendations, organised a car and brought us on a tour of his coffee
The customer friendly staff help with a ready smile and offer an interesting variety of ornaments in gold, diamonds and other precious stones set to traditional Coorg as well as contemporary styles.

The place is hygienic and clean and is a good place to have some authentic Kerala cuisine on your way from Mysore to Virajpet, my suggestions as follow, 1. Pathal 2. Fish curry of your choice 3. Lime tea The service is very good
Quaint , quite, cute. Do try waffles burgers and hot chocolate. pizza not recommended, can improve sogginess. Location incorrect, actually in the road between Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum.
