COSMOS OLIVE GARDEN - Restaurant in Varca, Benaulim - South Goa, India

Excellent place for a good evening drink and dinner. The chicken was well done on the tandoor. The sizzler was yummy and very hot. The taste was good . The quantity was good for 2 ppl to eat one sizzler. Bishnu Tiwari served us very well and he was courteous. The ambiance of the place was good. Do enjoy your food here. Do like the review once you read it.

Disappointed. Came here for English Breakfast but it was pure waste of money. Not done. They had no idea what all goes in English Breakfast. There was no butter, jam no Tabasco sauce. In all pathetic breakfast. I'll suggest you can come for lunch here but it's no for breakfast.

This is bang outside the Club Mahindra resort, 900 m away from the Varca beach. There are not many eating options around and if you are bored with the monotony of club Mahindra taste and/or price, then this is a good option. The good - Fresh food. They clearly mention that 25 mins of preparation time is required and they take that much time! Whether it be omlette, sandwich, juice ..time is required. We had breakfast on couple of days, so can't comment about main course. Food is good, fresh and value for money. We had parathas, sandwich, juices, shakes, omlette, sausage ... The bad - Cleanliness is desired. At least on a couple of tables, small ants were crawling. Also, ceiling fans are inadequate to beat the October heat unless you are from a coastal area and acclimatised to such climate. While it's peaceful and spread over a large space, soft music would really be appreciated. The ugly - The waiting time. Come on man, the guy with specs literally is a sloth. Whether it be taking order, delivering food, billing ... Whatever... Smile with speed!

Visited for breakfast during Goa visit. Its located in South Goa near Varca beach in vicinity of Emerald Palm Club Mahindra Resort. Food was freshly cooked and tasted good. Had tried Grilled Veg Sandwich, Aloo Paratha and Poori. All items are good. Had ordered ginger masala tea but it didn't taste good. Service was a big concern as there was single cook and single person to serve. No parking available and need to park on the road. Accepted UPI payment and also had card options. Also had washroom facility

Very good food and walking distance from Club Mahindra Emerald Palms. Though food is very expensive. Ambience is not great. Service is bit slow. When I visited there was only one person who was serving to 4 tables. Other wise neat and clean place

Let's get one thing straight, the service is in shambles. We got here at 2pm and ordered the following items- Butter garlic Prawns, A plate of fried Bangda fish, Fish fingers, 2 rice bowls, 1 prawn curry and the Double down chicken stuffed with cheese and bacon. For drinks we ordered beers, Sprites and a Cold Coffee. There was one waiter managing the whole service, with two other tables being occupied. He first served us the other tables Calamari dish, which we returned. The prawns were then served, with 6 little prawns for Rs450. He then reported that they ran out of Bangda and only one was available to serve. We were alright with being served the one fish, which he then brought out with the Fish fingers. The fish fingers were thin and tasted pre-made and frozen. After this, we were served nothing for 1 and a half hours. After repeated requests and running out of patience, the cold coffee was brought out, which had curd like lumps in it and was bitter. After some more requests and chiding the waiter for the wait, the main course was brought out at 4:15pm. The rice and curry was alright, the chicken was dripping in grease and slightly burnt, and the side of fries were unseasoned and bland. It is worth noting that even water wasn't served throughout service, till we asked for it, and the tissue paper stand was empty. After some apologies for the wait, the bill was brought out coming up to around Rs3350, which was met with some surprise. After adding up the sums on the bill, we found a miscalculation with the actual price being Rs2350. A whole 1000 buck miscalculation?!? This made us more wary about the bill and at closer inspection found that we were billed for the whole Bangda plate of 3 pieces, after being served just one. After pointing this out, they returned Rs200. At this point, we were too fed up to actually stay and got up and left after paying.

Olive Garden is a delightful open air restaurant. It is clean and comfortable. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is quite good and the prices are reasonable. It was raining when we visited for dinner, and we had the whole place pretty much to ourselves. A very enjoyable experience it was. We went back a couple of times more, never to be disappointed. Mr. Bicky and Mr. Lucky, both very gracious, always served with smiles.

The food was alright but towards the end of our meal, our waiter literally came and asked us if we are Indian, because we were talking in English. I communicated with him in my broken Hindi from the very beginning but he was somehow irked by my family speaking to each other in English. Tell your waiters to do their job of serving food. Not to promote Hindi to those who may not necessarily know as much or need from where they come from.
