India's most visited place in a year
Lovely place to feel the real nature. Main attraction here is the national animal of India, the Tiger. Tiger tracking is an interesting task as it involves lot of suspense, patience, talent and luck. Currently many sightings are there is Dhikala zone due to active cubs in winter of 2020.
This park contains the largest population of tigers in the country & used to be private royal land It was established as Hailey National Park in 1936 and was renamed Ramganga in the mid-1950s, later renamed Corbett in memory of the famous British sportsman and writer Jim Corbett at the end of that decade I went. The park has an area of 201 square miles (521 km2) Corbett Tiger Reserve is an ideal home for many majestic animals like the Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Elephant, Reptiles, Birds and many other wild animals so if you are a nature and wildlife lover then this place is made for you i guaranteed you dont regard
Corbett Tiger Reserve is an amazing national park. Pros - You get to see tigers, elephants and other amazing animals. Cons - there are no self-drive options. The pros outweigh the Cons for sure. The guides always get you where you want to be and to give you the best chance of seeing wildlife. A thing to keep in mind is that this isn't a zoo so wildlife isn't guaranteed. My advice is to fall in love with birds and the big cats are a real bonus. If you do want to see a big cat patience is key. You will likely need to book multiple safaris. Since, need to be out of the park at certain hours don't be late getting up. Also, you are outside. Bring additional water and sunscreen.
We had several safaris entering through differenet gates and each time we had different animals, birds, flora, and scenery. We went very early in the mornings arriving at dawn. We had been told to wear layers of clothing as it would be very cold to begin and then hot by midday and it was. Our evening safaris also began in the warmth and ended in the cool of the evening at dusk. We just cannot describe all the experiences we had, the deer on the riverbed, the hillside jungle, the various monkeys, the wild elephant herd on the plan, the jungle cat on the road. The beautiful birds, eagles and flowers galore. Our guides described what we were seeing, the habitat and breeding of different animals, we were fortunate to see a tiger after its kill. We saw paw marks claw marks droppings and smelt it and heard it, Loved it. Some jeeps could missed, with being mended as foot steps broken and some guides self opinionated. We were always in a jeep solely for us three so we could ask questions and hear replies. Really enjoyed the time.
