Located in the centre of the town, this is an excellent place to spend a couple of hours. Surrounding garden is well maintained and cleaned. I was not lucky enough to view the sunrise/sunset as I went in the monsoon season nevertheless enjoyed the view of the valley. Only downside is this place is tend to be over-crowded in the evening and one can't really contemplate nature peacefully.
The sunset is not to be missed here. The platform provided gives a great view of the serene horizon as the sun sets down the hill. I'll suggest to carry mosquito repellent though as it can get really full of bugs as darkness approaches. It's quite crowded in the evening. Local vendors serve a variety of snacks and desserts nearby. Request the travellers to not litter.

It is very cold place.it is a sun set view point.in back of view point there is a park.very nice park . Musical fountain is there.we can dance and enjoy.there is small train for small kids. in winter and rainy season fog covers .so sun set can't be seen.
This is not a great place as people say. Heavily crowded and apart from sun set point, there's nothing to see and even sun set didn't feel great at this place. It has a good park to sit and play with children. Parking is little difficult during the season and charges are bit more.
Raja's Seat (Seat of the King) is a seasonal garden of flowers and artificial fountains. It is one of the most important tourist spots in Madikeri of Coorg District. It is 270 km away from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. A pleasant spectacle of refreshing layers of greenery, chain of high and low-rise-mountains attired with mist, the Raja Garden was a one-time-favorite of the kings of Kodagu who used to watch the setting sun, and spend time with their queens here.It is shaped like a small square in brick and mortar, with four pillars bridged by arches, enhanced by beautiful surroundings. This lovely spot was a favorite place of recreationfor the Rajas and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high level ground with a commanding view of the cliffs and valleys to the west. Early in the morning as the sun is just rising in the east, the mist shrouded valley below offers a rare sight. The golden light of the setting sun is a splendor to watch. There is also a Toy Train for children.
Once again a place in coorg where I felt like taking dozens of selfies to recover my money which I spend in coorg. I need to say this there is nothing special it's just a normal park which can be found anywhere in your colony. The only difference is it is located at a higher altitude.
It's just a few minutes' walk downhill and you get a breathtaking view of the valley below: not one to be missed while one is there as it's certainly worth it.
