The oldest man made teak plantation. One of the best experiences for nature lovers. The walk through the path ways is a different experience. Also there is a giant teak tree here, which is the biggest one I saw till now.
The hanging bridge got entirely destroyed in the 2019 floods. The ferry/boating service was also not available. So the access to the other side of the river and the biggest teak trees were not there.
It is a nice place for visit. Not very very beautiful. But ok. If you came with family then you can explores more in there. You can see the beauty of the place from the image that i will provide. It is near the nilambur town. The ticket for a man is 40rs
Its not worth the entry fee. The entry fee 40/- per person. The main attraction is the river and the bridge to the oldest teak. But the bridge got destroyed in 2018 nd is not built. There is no ferry service also.

A place where you can find peaceful ambience. Entry fee is just 30 rs. The main attraction of this spot is river, teak plantation and cable Bridge.
It's a beautiful place . We can spend 3 - 4 hours here . Its cool and dark atmosphere inside the teak forest is awesome . We can have a long walk amidst the dense forest . A cafe is also available. Parking is huge .
Lovers paradise!! Tall trees, pristine environment in the middle of the town. Feels like you are in a forest..Sadly the thookupalam across the chaliyar river is no longer there..it has been replaced by jangar service.
