Congress Well Park - Park in Belagavi - Belagavi, India

I went on Sunday to join belgaumreads. It's an Instagram page that is building reading community in belgaum. It was a fun experience I went there to just chill doodle and paint

Name should have been changed. It's orginal name was Pampa Sarovar. Congress Park is a misnomer. Concerned may look into it.

This park has a history behind... The well was dig when there was congress adhiveshan long back in history and Mahatma Gandhi visited this place .. Inistially it was a big well serving water need for all people within locality and now also with the existing renovation to the well it's a good water source daily water needs.. This park is accompanied with Museum with few pictures of Adhiveshan was there and a small library is also there besides the main museum building .. very well design structure.. But the overall maintenance of garden part is not that much... Some wild animal statues are installed but very curious people make it worst to appear.. A good place very near to first gate and congress road and good option for residents nearby to have a good oxygen.

Good place to relax..but no fun for adults.and in the evening,lots of mosquitos..

Very well maintained park with lots of trees and shade... Perfect place to take school trip for toddlers

Neat, clean and historical place where only one congress session was held in 1924 under the presidential of Gandhiji. Good sitting arrangement are also provided.There is well called Congress well which was there before 1924 session.where filter unit is attached but this water is used for daily work i.e. washing clothes, bathing,etc except for drinking purpose.
