In a time when students are overwhelmed with the amount of data and choices available for higher education overseas it is quite easy to get lost in the details and make poor choices. If you are done who struggled with this choice for their children then do what I did - sign up your kid(s) with Collegepond and just leave it to the highly trained consultants in their employ to walk you through the process and do a thorough job of it. We were referred to Collegepond by friends who are extremely satisfied as I am. If I had to use 2 words to describe Collegepond as a company and it's employees I chose "highly competent". Right after my very first interaction with one of their consultants, I wrote a check in the spot. This is what you call getting your money's worth and believe me it does not happen often. Let me add a few words about the founders Jimeet and Suraj with whom I have had the pleasure of interacting in person - they come across as genuine people with your best interests at heart and they speak facts. And you will appreciate this. My daughter got a lot of help in narrowing down the choices of universities based on her interests and career choice. And it doesn't end there - they also help connect with alumni from universities overseas so your son/daughter gets all the facts to make an informed decision. Need help with advice on Forex, student accommodation, opening a bank account overseas, health insurance, etc??? Well they help you with that too..And they hold seminars that parents and their wards should attend without fail. I can't recollect the last time I was extremely pleased with my investment like I am with Collegepond. Matters that require knowledge and experience is best left to people who have it - like I did with Collegepond.....I am not sure if this review helps because everyone knows what I just mentioned. Very unbiased and real opinion. Save yourself the money waste and mental anxiety that comes from going with these guys. Counselors: Each and every counselor is sub par. None of them were helpful and were EXTREMELY rude and would not listen to anything the student had to say. 2 counselors literally shouted on the phone and this has been experienced by 4 more friends who took their service. Quality of materials: same material (LORS SOPS) being recycled over and over again. 4 or 5 of my friends all had the same language for their application materials. The counselors contribution in the SOP was minimal and most of the work was done by me. Her main contribution was adding transition sentences for each para So around 4 to 5 sentences in a 1000 word essay. Do not waste your money. The mental anxiety that comes with the guys specially during such a critical phase is really not worth it. EDIT : I have WRITTEN proof of complaint about a counselor to a senior official at their company (while here they say there has been no complaints) . They requested me not to take it forward. You can understand the kind of support they will give to students over their own counselors. Guys it is for your own benefit i am sharing my legitimate experience. Rest is on you.

Collegepond is definitely worth it! Collegepond provide a wide area of services right from assisting in writing your SOPs and LORs, choosing your universities to preparing for your Visa interview. Sometimes you have to contact their people multiple times to expedite the process but the help provided is definitely of the highest order. The modules created by them on their app helps organise the entire process and makes sure you dont miss out on anything. I especially liked the way in which they guided me to write my SOP and reviewed it multiple times to make sure there was nothing left to chance.
