Collection O 29693 Hotel Mountain Retreat - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

The room condition was horrible. Walls n floors were wet all the time. Room was smelling like it has been wet for a long time. Geyser was not working properly. Staffs were very good n helpful. Food was tasty. Location wise it is good to find. Close to MG market n also walkable.

Very poor food quality and poor staff behaviour!! They use to show us great kitchen and seating arrangement but arrange our food in different poor location... Horrible experience!! I will never refer this hotel to my any friends and families...

Very nice place. Rooms are clean and hygienic. The view from the terrace is amazing. Especially the staff is very polite and respectful. Food was also delicious. Had a great experience staying there. Ps if you are looking for a 5 star kind of hotel this is not the one for you.

Worst hotel i ever stayed. This hotel spoiled my journey. It has no power backup. I booked suite room but they didnt provided me that. They serve limited quantity breakfast irrespective of guest requirment. At night time the tv stopped showing chanels because of recharge balance of hotel exhausted. They were also not ready to do payment online for tv. 8 hours without electricity not even for charging mobile. Very bad experience. I would just say better to stay on road will be better than stay in this hotel.

A great stay as the hotelier was friendly and flexible. We reached the hotel on a rainy morning but found the rooms spacious, clean and tidy. The hotel is having a kitchen, with a sitting capacity of approximately 100 person. They even catered to our special needs as we were carrying infants. They offer room service which was of great help. The hotel is at 5-10 minutes walk from SBI GANGTOK branch / M G ROAD. The sloping has made it easy for us to reach prime spots including LAL MARKET. We loved the hotelier as they turned our unplanned tour into a pleasant one. Thank you.

Negative: Cleanliness is an issue. The stairs were not clean. I stayed in room no 201 with my family. Lock of the bathroom from outside, was broken. The towels and pillow covers were dirty. An used blanket and empty wine bottle were kept in the small wardrobe. There was a gap under the main door, through which cold winds were coming. Covers of the electrical fixtures, were opened. The cushion on the chair was dirty. Positive: Hot water is available in the bathroom. Room service is good.

I booked 206 for 5 days, from room window kanchanjangha mountain was clearly viewable, staff behaviour was good. I recommend you to order food from them, because they cook fresh, best thing about food was it tasty and it was also pocket friendly.

Great service and comfort. The suite room 206 is the best one in the Hotel. We could see the Kanchanjangha everyday in the morning. This room has an awesome view.
