One of the infamous, not much explored, yet a stunning view beach with a surprise bonus small sweet water river !
Must go, if you are staying in South Goa, and if you love driving then from North Goa also.
Pros - Beach view is much wider here, also sunsets are more beautiful than any other beach.
Kayaking is also much safe here and must do for beginners also.
Awesome Beach. We enjoyed the Beach side views here. Kayaking experience was amazing. Best time to visit this place before 12 pm if you want to do Kayaking. There is restaurant available on the beach as well. They serve very good food. This white sand beach also have couple of stay options.
This is an extremely beautiful beach where backwater is meeting the sea. Butterfly Beach has become famous but this is better than that. Even if you don't visit butterfly Beach but do visit cola beach. There are beautiful rocks, one or two shacks. There are also a couple of stairs at the beach in the backwaters. So we can kayak in the backwaters and it is extremely reasonable. For two people they charge only Rs.500. I visited during a big day and it was extremely quiet and almost no one was around.
Here is a review for Cola Beach:
"Cola Beach is a hidden gem that offers a truly unique and secluded beach experience. Nestled between towering cliffs and surrounded by lush greenery, this pristine beach is like a slice of paradise. The crystal-clear turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, allowing you to explore the vibrant marine life just off the shore.
What sets Cola Beach apart from other beaches in the area is its natural freshwater lagoon. This enchanting lagoon is a must-visit spot, where you can take a refreshing dip in its cool waters or simply relax on the sandy shores. The serene atmosphere here is simply unmatched, providing a welcome escape from the bustling crowds often found at popular tourist beaches.
The beach itself is relatively small and untouched, offering a sense of tranquility and exclusivity. The soft white sand is ideal for leisurely walks or sunbathing, and the gentle waves provide a soothing soundtrack for relaxation. The lack of commercialization and beachside establishments adds to the charm of Cola Beach, allowing you to truly connect with nature and enjoy the pure beauty of the surroundings.
Access to Cola Beach is via a scenic winding path through the jungle, which may be challenging for some visitors. However, the effort is well worth it as soon as you set foot on this hidden paradise. It's important to note that there are limited facilities available on the beach, so it's wise to bring your own snacks, water, and other necessities.
If you are seeking a secluded and idyllic beach experience away from the crowds, Cola Beach is an absolute must-visit. Its natural beauty, tranquil atmosphere, and the refreshing lagoon make it a true haven for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. Make sure to add this hidden gem to your travel itinerary, and you'll be rewarded with a truly unforgettable beach experience."
Before reaching, I read a review that at cola beach you need to track for a few meters/kilometres, but we decided to visit on weekdays and due to that it was less crowded + no track required. Our cab was allowed till the stairs and from there you'll have to get down to the beach through stairs. Just Keep in mind, to get back up the parking spot you'll be climbing the same stairs which I counted were 200 steps.
Overall experience of kayaking following the lunch at the shack was good and calming.
One of the coolest beaches in south Goa. No crowds were there when we visited we visited around 4 p.m.
The best experience you can have here is Backwater Kayaking. The water here is fresh and you can see crystal clear the stones inside the water. The water body of the Kayaking area is not so deep it's up to your waist.
This is a serene , virgin beach with not much patronage...hence very neat , clean and lovely. It seems a complete different world there...clean water , the small rivulet passing fresh water to the salty sea..the small river though deep ,looks like a private swimming pool which people can enjoy...2 or 3 eateries only here ..most are part of the resorts there..walking from main road to this place is fun , around 2km inside , but due to the terrain takes around 45 min...meandering through the small forest , in an off beaten track , but the incoming sight compensates for the tiredness...there is sometimes kayaking also arranged in the river..there is a steep climb of around 100 steps when u return which is tricky and a little tiry...but not bad...overall a lovely place to visit
Such a beautiful beach with a fresh water lagoon where you can enjoy kayaking..the sunset was a treat to the eyes..however there is an increase in crowd for kayaking purposes..however you have to descend an ascend to commute to the beach ...
