For the love coffee, this place gives a lot of coffee information. ~From its history ; global route, varieties, plantations, challenges, harvesting, processing, blending, brewing to tasting. The lower rating is because of the incomplete coffee experience given here. There's a lot of theory. But no coffee around The place is neat Self explanatory informations put up Ambience Staff missing Restrooms The coffee museum has potential to attract more tourists. If only, plantation tours, actual coffee roasting etc & tasting and also coffee shops was included in this museum, it'd have been a complete coffee lover's experience.
For one who wants to know about the Coffee, it's types and other specifications about the process of making coffee powder from it's seeds, this place is helpful for them as a instructor helps them understand these specifications using real samples. Entry fee is 30rs, 20rs for students. They show a video later which most of them may feel boring and name of the first person planted coffee seeds in India is not mentioned in Video, they just meetioned it as "a person planted 7 seeds". If you are not interested in knowing anything about coffee and it's samples then, this place is not for you.
Not much to explore just single room for coffee processing miniature and old invented coffee maker machines. Travelling 14km from the stay to just visit this place was not considerable
It's an ok place. Maintaining is below average, not much information found. There will be a movie played about the history of coffee by which most of the information can be gathered. There are some information about insects with respect to coffee, wall posters about coffee etc. If you are nearby, you can visit once. Thank you...
It's good for student visit. Lot of theory. The experience could be improved with actual coffee plantation visit, showing coffee roasting and other processes practically and coffee tasting.
Amazing place where you will learn about the history of coffee plantations in india. There is a video which will take you through the process of how the coffee berries are transformed into coffee. It also highlights the way the coffee plantations are taken care and the process to prevent it from decaying. Very quaint, quiet and peaceful place where you can just have a good time.
Excellent place to visit as educational teip and we can go through the entire process of coffee plantation. They play the videos of history related coffee it was very informative. Rs. 30 for adult and.for student Rs 20. We have visited to lab too.
Not a must visit for a coffeee lover. But can be improved a lot. Only one audio visual presentation and no guide etc. Can be improved a lot to make it a must visit place when in Chikkamagaluru.
