It hosts a longest run event by any Indian Educational Institutions,92nd year of Regatta,a boating event with music,laser lights and mind blowing synchronization and formations done by rowing boats.Its a tradition of COEP that keep apart all the instructions.This year it entered into Limca Book of records as longest running event by any Indian institution.
I visited this during my office badminton tournaments. Multiple courts with ample space is available.. About boat Club lot of boats available Suggestion Remove sanitizer filter kept at the entrance of badminton court. It looks like water filter and could be harmful
It has four big badminton courts. It is located near the boat club. Best place for badminton lovers.
Oh to be in the place by the river where boats are rowed by all types of engineers.... Such freedom. Waiting for the Regata, practising away till the arms ache but mind is full of joy!
One of the worst maintained sites in COEP. You won't be able to breathe for 5 damn minutes in that filthy atmosphere. I really wonder how College administration allows boating in that stagnant water. That filth is for sure to impact the health of students. You can see garbage, filth, pigs, crows and dirt all around the place. College administration in collaboration with local civic authorities, should look into the matter and work towards improving the water quality of the so called river as well as ti upkeep the ambience of the boat club.
Lots of boats, paddles neatly stacked. Though the lake itself doesn't seem clean. The badminton court above is also getting old. The boat club canteen is dipiliated. Everything around is in need of maintenance.

Yesterday watched the 95th REGATTA event at the boat club. It was a very beautiful experience. The boat club students from COEP made very beautiful formations right from ROWING till PUNT.
