Hi All, We were craving for some seafood & decided to dry Coastal Mama. The restaurant is quite small but easy on the pocket. They have tried to create a Goan atmosphere in the restaurant. We ordered a portion of white rice, a fried fish dish, 2 fresh soda with soda & side dish of silver fish. Wouldn't say that, the food taste & quality is excellent but its OK. Can recommend this restaurant who want to try seafood & also be light in the pocket!!!
Costa Mama already famous for its food prior to COVID lockdowns are still trying to keep up. Combos & sanna (Manglorean Idli) was not available on the menu. But had a good range of choice on menu. Tried Chicken Sukka , Squid roast , Neer dosa , Bangda Tawa Fry, Carrot halwa Chicken Sukka was amazing . I recommend it. Squid was spicy and mixed with variety of flavors. But a little too powdered gravy still taste was ok. Bangda Tawa fry the marinate was excellent and well cooked. Carrot halwa good choice to bring the spices to a balance. Neet dosa with Chicken Sukka is a must try !!!! Consider a small wait for food as fish on menu takes time. Neat presentation, good polite service, light background music , place was not crowded and seating was spaced well with concerns of COVID care. Overall good , pleasant dining experience.
Last night we went for dinner food was of Bad taste and Quality. I kept on thinking how can one cook so bad food and charge that much Ambience is not at all good in the night. They are not giving Fish thali, for boiled rice they will charge 70 but with that they are not giving curry. for curry they will charge 180 this one is big scam. Fish fry masala was very bad and spicy and not marinated. There is no chance in costal this kind of cooking. I'll not recommend to anyone not healthy and cost worth.
Had been to dinner to Coastal Mama and This place has worst Lighting and Ambience in the evening.. We had ordered more varieties of food and every thing we ate there was of Bad taste and Quality. I kept on thinking how can one cook so bad food and charge that much . The alternate I suggest is Namma Kudla which is a Budget restaurant or Shetty Lunch Home which is a little costly, but totally worth the money you pay. Avoid going to this as a whole, because nothing was good here. Chicken Ghee roast is the worst thing I had ever eaten. The Open seating area and the Traffic Sound feels very annoying.

Nice food, great service. Kid-friendly. They don't serve alcohol. The kokum beverage was too sweet and syrup-y. I would definitely visit again for the seafood platter! Yum!
One of the good restaurants to try South Karnataka dishes. There are plenty of options available to try (based on season). I had tried kokum kadi and it was awesome, I loved it. I had a fish meal with chicken kabab. The kabab was very tasty and delicious. At the end I had mini gadbad which I felt a little costly compared to the price and quantity of the ice cream served.
