Club Mahindra Resort - Varca Beach - Goa - Resort hotel in Varca, Orlim - South Goa, India

Beautiful beach that is accessible from the resort. The water is calm and you get to see a lot of starfish in the water. The beach alone is worth a visit. The property is nice but a little dated. We spent 4 nights at the resort. Staff members are friendly and responsive. Food was excellent (both quality and variety). We enjoyed every meal there. I would suggest staying away from the hotel units. They are really bad. Room condition was miserable both in terms of decor and upkeep. We had to request the staff to move us out of the hotel units after one night. We moved from a hotel unit to a 2 bedroom apartment. The 2 bedroom apartment was well maintained (though a bit dated). I am giving it 3 stars overall because of the hotel unit condition (which should receive 0 stars).

The resort is very beautiful. The layout, cottages, the fountain and the numerous flowers give it a tranquility feel. We were a big group occupying multiple rooms (of varied sizes). The studio rooms were quite big. It had a standard size bed, an additional smaller bed, kitchen amenities such as microwave, kettle and tea, coffee, sugar sachets. The 2 bedroom was nice too. One of the bedrooms was huge with a king bed and a queen sofa bed. If I had to really find a fault, it would be that the second bedroom's bathroom was connected to the main bathroom and one always had to be careful to lock on both ends. There were multiple pools which we enjoyed every day of the stay. One of the pools had some kid activity such as a getting inside a giant ball and getting into the pool or sitting on a car shaped boat and pedaling. The proximity of beach to the resort is definitely an advantage. We walked everyday to beach to view the sunrise and sunset. For kids, there was a play area, a trampoline (which surprisingly was charged). There was an adventure zone (obviously charged). There was also an activity/ hobby zone where you could pay and drop kids who will learn things such as painting, sun gazing etc. Service could have been better. It took forever to get a pot of tea on the 2 days that we ordered. Service in their restaurant was also poor. We ordered juice and sandwiches around 5pm and it took forever. In their buffet, the spread was amazing - catering to north Indian, south Indian, chaat, contintental, vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Jain etc. Given the spread was large, the price was quite high too. Not all food items were of the highest quality. There's a restaurant on the way to the beach which has special dinner menus. Overall it was a good stay and will definitely recommend.

It's a nice standard touristy type of resort. Beach is not more than 300-400 metres from most rooms. Ocean is not directly visible from the resort rooms, sit-outs or pools. There are a lot of activities. It's not a quiet or a serene resort. It's always full of people. So for people who like action and activities and movement all the time, it's a good place to be. Rooms are decent, and staff is cordial.

Property is simply amazing. Direct access to the beach. Cocktails served in room, etc. But service is very below average. The front office staff actually stopped mid sentence and started talking to another guest! The gym closes at 7 PM! Rooms smelled musty and damp. The bathroom was tiny...the smallest I've seen in any Club Mahindra property!

A few of the front end guys need to go back & take lessons on hospitality OR change their profession. The room service is rather shabby, kettle won't work, 5 guests & u will need to call them again n again for cups, towels & basics etc etc..they are aware of the occupants but no coordination. Renovation is non stop here. We had to impolitely ask them to stop the stone cutting cos of the excess dust & noise by the pool. Overall a great property & location but filled with below avg staff & showing lots of signs of over aging.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Room had a very strong pest control smell. Serious renovation is needed in rooms and corridors. ACs don't function upto mark. When we came back late night after party our key to the room door did not work. Located next to a very clean beach. Decent swimming pool.

Great resort on the beach. They have very engaging activities for the whole family. Kids would love the place. The approach road is a little congested but the Resort is awesome. Highly recomended for couples, families and large groups.

It's a very nice stay. We went with a family of 5 and how nice the 2 BR unit in the hotel unit was. Very comfortable & cozy. The staff around is so courteous.
