Club Mahindra Resort - Poovar - Kerala - Resort hotel in Pozhiyoor, Kulathoor - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Very good property in terms of swimming pool, backwater, closeness to beach and good surrounding. Rooms are big enough. One issue is lack of lift. Our rooms were on 1 st floor and was difficult for my old age mother to climb. The hotel did changed our room later to ground floor. Food cost is on higher side for non club members. Some rooms has smell of oil. Overall a good experience.

One of the most visited Club Mahindra property. My family goes to weekend city escapes to this resort at times. Quite atmosphere and great buffet to be noted. There is a clean and well maintained swimming pool with kids pool on one side. The rooms are neat and cozy with almost all the necessary amenities. They will arrange boat rides or site seeing as packages or in demand. Overall a good experience.

Went there for a vacation. Many good tourist location are at a distance of 45min - 1.5 hour. The resort is well developed with very good amenities. Pool and lawn are well maintained

This resort is not suitable for team outing. Following are the issues we face during team outing. - Team building activity was cancelled in between without any backup plan. - Waited too long for getting the room. - Poorly managed staff, lacked basic treatment to guest. Not recommended for team outing and team building activities.

Staff is very polite. Perticular jiji is very helpful. We need bit late check out and she helped us. My wife also get injured during stay but staff immediately provided us medical help . Food is very much overpriced rest everything is good and perfectly fine.

+ Points :- 1. Beautiful property. 2. Renovated and comfortable guest rooms (cotrages and 1 BR not yet renovated). 3. Good activities for children. - Points :- 1. Food costs are at par with a Mumbai 4 star hotel with average/poor serving size. Overall, Poovar is breathtakingly beautiful and refreshing - a must visit!! 2. The supplied water in basins and washrooms is slightly saline thus causing discomfort in any kind of refreshment using that water. 3. Though the staff (including housekeeping in charge, Ms Jiji) are very very good, I got an uneasy feeling they were not very happy at work - maybe the management can look at it. Overall, Poovar is breathtakingly beautiful and refreshing - a must visit!!

Overall an excellent experience. Booked rooms but got hotel unit on arrival. Stayed here with my family. It's a big property which is by side of lake and sea. It's been maintained very well. Kids will love it as there is lot of place to play. Food is of very good quality even though bit expensive. Linen is very good. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. In short very very recommendable for family with kids

Good place in a beautiful location. A great place to escape routine. Customer service is poor. In restaurant AC dint work and all of us were drenched in sweat while having sumptuous food. When asked about AC, we were not given a proper response. People with knee difficulty will have tough time climbing stairs. Could have been better if lift facility was available. Parking : There is no separate parking place. Not worth for the money we pay
