Club Mahindra Resort - Derby Green, Ooty, Tamil Nadu - Resort hotel in Ooty - The Nilgiris, India

Clean rooms, good room service. Very polite staffs. Has amazing views from the lawn. There are adventure games and other activities at the holiday centre to keep us entertained. There's also bonfire in the evening with live music, games, dance and fun. Buffet could be better. Not great taste wise nor many food options. Opt for outside restaurants since there are plenty of good places with different cuisines.

Afternoon check-in at 2 p.m. for our hotel room type (H). We arrived at the club at 3.20 pm and had our room by 4.45 pm, which is a pretty long wait. After that, the room arrangement was not done properly, so we called them over the intercom two or three times finally we received our bathroom kit and towels the next morning. Regarding food, we received a three-meal package, the dinner which we got few items and medium-level tasty food but breakfast is not bad food and next day we got a junior suite room that was very nice But as usual, they didn't keep a bathroom kit and towel in the room.

We visited this resort in first weekend of August 2023 and must say the location is awesome. The rooms and not luxurious, but was cleaned and had everything that was required with a nice view of hills. Buffet spread was nice and you could negotiate with the staff if opting for a package. Play area for kids, activity area, Shri Krishna temple and evening campfire with DJ and fun activities were so engaging that we didn't feel the need to go out of resort. Worth visiting this place.

An excellent property, heritage one. Is in a good location. Not close to shops etc. So it's quiet . Rooms are a little small , smaller than expected . Even for 2 people it s a tight fit. Food is excellent. Staff are friendly and kind but communication could be better . Travel arrangements are also not transparent for local day use , unless one selects the pre fixed day tours.

Located in the city centre every attraction is not more then 10-15 mins away from the resort. Resort has a very rustic heritage vibe in a good way the service staff is amazing and the food is good in comparison. Rooms are small but equipped with all necessities it's all clean and hygienic. Overall a good experience for a 2-3 days outing.

We were family travelers and upon check-in, they welcomed us with a warm gesture. But after a while (2-3 hours) the front desk staff Mr. Kishore came to me and started explaining to me about additional charges for the bedding (number of guests - we were four people - two kids of below age 5.5 and 10.6 yrs). We didn't ask for additional bedding and on asking the reason they explained that Club Mahindra works the same way. If you have additional guests (doesn't matter if they are kids) who can accommodate with you in the same room, still you have to pay them. BTW, before booking tickets I called their front desk number and asked for the charges for a number of family members. They said other than food you don't have to pay anything. They completely denied their words and said they would check who told like this. Front desk folks are completely unfriendly and asking for additional money without giving proper reasonings.

I travelled with my family and had a great experience. I stayed for four nights and don't have any complaints. The staff is very welcoming and kind but one guy at Happy Hub was very rude and unfriendly to the kids. Overall, I had a good experience and recommend it for everyone visiting Ooty.

Lovely Resort landscape, prompt service, mouthwatering food and courteous staff. Enjoyed holidays but unfortunately rooms allotted was not having any view and at the corner of resort.
